What 2s Lipo? With performance over price.

Ok, suppose you got a small inheritance / won the lottery and you wanted to buy some kick **** 2s Lipos. Performance over price being the main driver. What would you get? Enerland? Team Orion? Kokam?

Of everything I read, the best cells are made by enerland.

If I understand correctly, FlightPower, TrekPower, ThunderPower, PolyQuest are all enerland cells.
    be nice.

Here you go. TrakPower and FlightPower are made by the same company. The Trak batt is the truck/car battery and the Flight is the flight battery.

Thanks for the responses guys. How do you wire up the Trakpower batts? Bullet connectors on the battery end and Traxxas connectors on the other? Can these be ordered or do you have to make them? Do they become a tight fit in the battery compartment? I saw someone elses thread on how they modified their battery compartment vents to run their wires.

I found the thread on the Polyquest lipos and they are definitely on the radar.

    Cheers!

Unfortunately MA has proven that you can't trust their specs. It would be interesting to see how well those perform for the money invested.

To get the very best, I would stick with the proven commodities for my money though: Enerland based packs.

With stock, you will fry your ESC. Its good for 16.8V, and you will run 22.2 using 2 11.1v batteries

On twin VXL's you will be happy.

Trouble is, many people have tried- there are numerous threads showing how poor the performance of MA lipos are compared to equal or even lesser spec'd lipos, people like you just refuse to listen and carry on believing that MA are the best, regardless of whatever evidence and testing anyone else produces; thats known as being a fanboy.

MA are over overpriced, and are over rated, fact.
Dont consult me, just read the FAQ.

Yes! I will back you up 100%. MA packs are junk. Over rated, and WAAAAY over priced for what they are. They put out 15-17C at BEST. When you can buy something like ***** lipos for less then half the price, and have a way better lipo

Yep, they sure do. So does SPC's cells, but they actually work well without failing.

    I dont get it.

If a friend of mine stepped in a pile of dog poop and showed me where it was, I would make sure I never step in it.

Some people are just determined to clean their shoes.

I wish people would read up and expand their research. It would prevent them from making bad decisions.

I have the SPC lipos and I love em....and I vote against MA as well. Not worth the money and all of the RCCA awards are not even a true indicator of the quality of the batteries....Heck I voted for the some products that I liked and never even owned yet!!!

Forums are better indicators of whether or not something is a user's choice product or not.......
