    Hmmmmm.......

I'm going to say this even if it gets me banned.........
I'm a little upset that Traxxas uses these marketing ploys where they sell you something then "update" it afterwards.
Don't get me wrong I love the new brushless version of the E-revo but why couldn't they just state that they where working on it?
I just bought an E-Revo 2 months ago and finally dropped another $300 on a brushless system last week.
If I would have known that there was a brushless in the works I would have held off and just bought it......and I know some may say that it is just marketing but it still ticks me off to spend so much and then have them come out so soon with a version that they should have started with.

Just my 2 cents.......thanks for letting me vent

    Edited for language.

You have a B/L truck no matter how it worked out right? I have "super" patience with these R/C's, and I wanted the updated E-maxx when it came out, but I waited.... there were rumors of a B/L maxx coming.
Then the E-revo came out, and I wanted that, but, I was listening for the B/L Maxx, or at that point, B/L revo. Now my patience has payed off. I enjoyed my other R/C's while waiting, and now I can add a B/L revo to my collection with the B/L set-up I would have installed on it anyway!!!!

If they did tell us that was what they were working on, there would be another set of people that had just bought the regular ERevo right before they dropped the news on us. So...

I agree though. The B/L set up should have been the one and only. Maybe they wanted the kid market also.
Lots of brushless power in the garage.

It's quite simple. There will always be something bigger and better just down the road. You will always be in the position of choosing "I want it now" or "I'll wait", and generally there are problems with both ! Look at the MMM, so many people delayed getting a Novak HV, while waiting 2 + years for the MMM. Then when it finally came out, many problems. It's like gambling and the stock market. You may make the right choice of when to buy or you may regret it. Either way, one thing is certain. Traxxas is not in the habit of leaking info about new products, that is one thing that remains the same.
Support USA products whenever possible !!

I can already smell a thread about how the stock brushless motor is too weak and how they/your going to change it out just like the rest of the custom jobs out there done on almost all r/c cars. Who ever keeps there r/c 100% stock anymore anyway. No one is ever happy with stock r/c cars after we get used to them including myself.. Everyone wants more speed, handling and runtime.. IMO!!!

I bought used roller ERevo for $200 and put a Novak 5.5 in it for $250. Add a proline body and a futaba receiver, i have a kick butt BL eRevo for $600. i am psyched that everyone else can get one also and have people to race against.

Traxas is constantly raising the bar, if you want something better just wait a few months. But if you want to play now, BUY ONE!!

I totally agree , they probably wanted to get rid of the surplus EVX2 esc's and Titan motors .......

I doubt you will see many E REVO "brushless editions" with swapped out motors and ESC's , there is plenty of power on tap from the MMM system and if you need more just gear it for higher speed and run 6s .

I just bought 2 new E-Revos , about 2 weeks ago. They are now both brushless.

I dont feel in any way "cheated" because the Brushless E-Revo was released a few days later.

More power to them for giving us more options. They do things thier way , and it looks like a working formula. Lots of toys , most of which are affordable and perform great.

I do think they should release a roller E-Revo , no electronics at all. It would save a few bucks for follow-up projects and parts cars.
Won my first race in 1985...
