    Making my E-Revo Brushless?

I am planning on getting a MMM v3 and Castle 2200KV Motor/ESC Combo. What else do I need to get it running?

Pinions, Connectors? I don't know. What do I need? haha

    Read the FAQ.

    You will require:

    5mm bore 32pitch pinions
It will fit the stock mount just fine
You will need to make or by a series adaptor to run a pair of lipos- connectors is up to you, but TRX are fine.
A digital radio is higly recommended.

Once you have it, set the puch control via castlelink to about 70%, brakes to 40-50%, reverse to 30%, timing to low or lowest, and throttle mode to forwards-break-reverse with lockout.

As for gearing, you didnt specify your voltage:

    4s:
    68/24 = 37mph
    62/24 = 40mph
    58/24 = 43mph* jato3.3 spurgear

    6s:
    68/20 = 45mph
    65/20 = 47mph
    62/20 = 49mph

    68/24 = 53mph
    65/24 = 56mph
    62/24 = 58mph

Anything else will cost you $10 to answer....

    WRONG.

5mm is the size of the hole in the middle of the pinion, not the pitch of the teeth. You are buying a 32pitch (mod 0.8) 5mm bore pinion.

Yep. Just choose the number of teeth you require- 12/ 14 nimhs are not good batts to feed the MMM combo though, they will be eaten alive if you gear for higher than about 35mph, trust me. So 68/22 is about the best you can manage really, maybe 22/65 if you are lucky.

    Is 68T Stock Spur?

    If so I'll go 21/68.

68T is stock yep. You may have difficulty with some places selling odd numbered pinions (tooth count wise), but RR ones should be perfectly fine if they have a 5mm bore mod 0.8/ 32pitch 21toother. Save up and get some lipos though, cant stress it enough for BL vehicles.

14g wire isnt ideal- better off with 12g. You shouldnt have any other issues, it really is just a case of soldering on some plugs and wires, programming the esc, and away you go.

You'll probably need new diffs sooner or later, but thats another story....

Plug the wires from the motor into the esc... er, thats it.

As for how to wire up your batts:

    http://www.scriptasylum.com/rc_speed/_wiring.html

select the '2 series battery packs' option. Simple as pie....

I found this tutorial that shows how to solder the leads on a Traxxas connector. I'll look at that before I solder it.

Does the MMM come with a connector for the Battery? Like the one that plugs into the ESC with the Traxxas Male on the wire?

Also, Does it come with instuctions on how to solder the wires and were to put them?

And can I use the Stock TQ3 Radio with the Micro 4CH Rec. with the MMM?

Where the wires go is laid out in the instructions.. there is no battery connector since everyone uses a different type, but I would recommend the trx ones. As for using the trx recr with this speed control, I wouldn't recommend it. Thing is that these high voltage esc's have more interferance and the trend has been that there is a lot of glitching with them. Even traxxas is using a new 2.4 Ghz radio with thier castle setup on the new e-revo.

Hey, cool I just did a google search on that. DX3R is pretty awesome but it lacks the telemetry my Nomadio has. Since Nomadio has been concentrating on military gear it has been hard to get receivers for their gear and my React was pretty much on the fritz from day one.

A Spektrum with telemetry is like a dream come true!

I know. The DX3S Are sway bars worth it? I also don't know if the MMM + Stock Radio will work? Should I JUST GET the MMM Combo or JUST get the DX3S? I'm just getting a 700-HO also for the Snow but don't know weather to get the DX3S or MMM Combo.

motor doesnt matter really on run times, its gearing and what batteries you are using. You will get more torque with the HO.

Well im sticking with my titans for the winter just cause im going to get the BL system in spring/summer. But tbh i have heard great things about a single HO and for how much they are i mean you might like it a little more than the titans. If you are going BL then id just stay with titans and then get BL in the spring/summer. CANT WAIT FOR THE SNOW!!!!

Well BL systems are waterproof, and the erevo is going to throw some snow inside the truck and get stuff wet. Thats why im sticking with the titans and stuff cuz its all waterproof. Get the HO if you want, its pre cheap and i know you wont regret getting it. You could get 2 more titans but meh go with the HO or go Bl and just cover up the stuff thats not waterproof. Either way you wont regret what you do. Im going to get lipos and run my titans, then get the BL system. Got a lot of stuff to buy but i know from all the searching and stuff ive read that lipos and BL will be my best investment ever . Goodluck with your conversion and have fun in the snow. I cant wait!
