    Slash roll cage...

i found this in the new issue of RCCA....it looks really strong. I don't have a slash, but i know i've been looking for one for my vxl rusty.

roll cages are scarce for the smaller traxxas vehicles, so i thought i'd pass on the info.

looks good but will probably add a bit of weight. I love how light the Slash is and this would add some weight.

I don't see any advantage in using one of those. They add a bling factor, but it'd make an already top heavy vehicle even worse. There are cheaper ways to add durability to your truck, like adding RPM parts instead.

I would like to see one installed.
This reminds me of my old Kyosho Javelin. There is something cool amd impractical about roll cages in r/c cars, but the scale effect is that much more fun.

I wonder also. I would like to see bumpers that actually look like what they so on the real CORR trucks, not these oversized behemoths they have now.

    My first:

I painted mine the same as the yellow one. I even upgraded to aluminum shocks back then Must've been somewhere in the mid 80s, too long to know for sure.

Why would the Slash need more protection? We have had head-on collision after head-on collision with ours, and the worst damage was a very lucky shot that took out a rear suspension arm. Other than that, we have had 3 shock caps come loose from the collisions. I'm not talking easy hits either. Full speed, demolition derby style hits. There is no mercy. We did it for 3 or 4 straight packs one time.
    I'm so smrt. D'oh!
