New revo top speed, 64mph!! *vid*

Did a second test run (previous video...)

This time im running the Slayer internal gearing. Had to grind the inside of the transmission case to make it fit...

Engine is a ABmods drag modified Picco .28
    I got it up to 64mph on 20T 38T.

Then tried 22T 34T and the spur gear almost exploded ... lol

Then tried 22T 38T but the output shaft pin broke in half...

It was running everything else in teh transmission with metal gears.

    Heres the difference in size...

    And the video:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RJgJUTfrX94

It was running too rich (very cold plug...) temp was at 220F all the time.
But once i leaned a little closer to optimal it was pulling wheelies...

    Thx for watching
Its not ending there for sure!

ok Im not familiar with every english acronymes.

Theres nothing in the stinger, it was may be some white zip-ties laying around onder the servo box, forgot to cut them... it was holding the pipe in place on my first test a while ago..

Just trying to get the revo as fast as it is possible.

lol nvm, just the way how a little bit of sun gets in to go only across the tip of the stinger makes it look like a paper towel inside the stinger
..and when I looked to the left I saw a parked car

so you reckon the .28 will give you the most top speed?

how fast would you say the .26 picco would go?

And do you guys run with almost empty fuel tanks to lighten the weight of the car?

I ran the revo the way i run it everyday, nothing was removed to lighten it.
And i was running with 2 useless zip-ties!!

    Full tank.

As for engine size, a powerful .28 will be faster with the proper gearing in a revo.

yeah my best top speed with the stock Jato 3.3 was 64mph lol

Hard to say, for the revo it didnt need that much, may be 500ft. have no idea, in the video i floor it only when it had pick up some speed..

I bet that Slayer gearing really cut down the acceleration on the Revo.

    Thx guys!

I had to run the shift point very to keep the small pin intact on the slayer gear(the one on output shaft..)....(Picture #1 , gear on the left.)

But when i readjusted the shift just to try it broke on the first gear shift

Its not paper in the stinger, its actually the sun on the ground making it look like something is in the stinger. Gotta look close because you'll see that spot get a shadow over it in the video.
