    Actually didn't you see,it's my buddies truck No in actuallity i feel responsible.He would have bought anything I told him to.I told him this and hooked it all up,then it goes up in flames.I probably would have bought him a new chassis if it would have been ruined,and I definately would have just wrote off the batteries or motor. I will admit the other day when failed CC bec's took out 200 $'s worth of servos I was a little more upset then I should have been.But yeah I try to keep it in perspective.I'm a grown man playing with a toy,I've had real problems in my life and RC's are supposed to be a stress reliever,not increaser.

    I'd agree the chassis itself is fairly resistant to ignition ;P The plastic battery doors and tabs melt right quick though

    That was a v1 LOL mY v2 is running awesome! Raced tonight again as a matter of fact! I did have two v2's and there was a problem w/ it but it wasn't anything normal.. this was most likely freakish to be honest.

    the flm is aluminum.... even if it burns all it'll do is make some black marks on the chassis which can be polished off. that's why i decided to go there first. LOL

    I made it out of a piece of metal scrap.;

    unfortunatly I didnt take any pics during....

    Honestly, I didnt think it would turn out nice.

    I just bent metal, shaped it with a grinder and "painted" it with a sharpie marker .. lol ghetto, but it worked

    That looks like it was factory made... nice work Hoov! Did something similar (after seeing yours) with plastic though... worked okay. Too bad one of the connectors came lose when it burned and melted into my chassis next to it

    thanks man.
    sorry about the connector burn that stinks.
    in all honesty, i doubt my little plate will really do any good. hopefuly I never need it anyway.
