    Question Running Really Rich?

Is it ok to run on the rich side? I have my high speed needle set perfectly, but my low speed is really rich. Once it is warmed up it will run fine but for the first coulpe minutes it will hesitate for like a second but it will take off after that. I tried adjusting my low speed earlied today. The low speed has been at factory settings ever since i got it and I decided to try and lean it out. When I leaned it out it seemed to get ricker and smoke more(trust me I did LEAN it out , I turned it clokwise) But I turned it like 1/3 turn from factory but it still won't lean out and it seems to be going richer. I didn't get to try and lean it out any more than1/3 turn though because it got dark out. It is spitting out so much smoke though up until 15mph that it leaves a trail of moisture on the road. It takes about 8-10 min to burn up a tank and I run it HARD. But it doesn't seem to be sulggish just a little like a split second off the line. But I am wondering if this is necessarily bad for the engine? I will try and lean it out some more tomorrow though.

i keep my low speed needle on the rich side. it cools the engine at idel and when you let off the throttle. i think the only down side is you may foul out a plug more often.

Try using a hotter plug, it will help also when the engine is on idle, Get a OS R5 or A3

Are you sure you are turning it the right way, silly question but sometimes it is the simple things that screw us up.
