    Either spc 8000mah 2s lipos or http://cgi.ebay.com/7-4V-12C-8000mAh...QQcmdZViewItem I have used both flawlessly .

    Another option as you stated you need would be the Maxamps 2s 8000mah packs. I run them and love them.

    I see on the site they say the battery boxes need some modding to get them to fit. What modding needs to be done to get these to fit? Just curious. Thanks

    The SMC 2s 5000 28c packs are sweet iMO.. I love my maxamps 2s2p 8k packs as well... they are also outstanding. I raced w/ the smc's for the first time tonight and I like the way my truck feels w/ the reduced weight for sure. I could have easily finished a 20min main (ours was less tonight). You will need to go w/ the 8k packs though for a 30min main, it's the only thing making it the whole way. Of course bashing you'll get more time out of both packs.

    I wouldn't get anything that can't do at least 120amps

    mAH * C rating = amps

    those SPC 12c 5k packs are good for 60amps at best 80amps if they are under rated.

    You should be ok w/ the 8k 12c packs or the true rc 8k 15c packs or the maxamps 8k 20c packs or the SMC 28c 5k pack..

    there was discussion about this awhile back. These packs use a "banana" style plug for the connectors to plug into the pack. There was concern that they would stick up too much to fit in the erevo compartments. I suggested using connectors like these;

    then bending the wire like this before soldering it to the plug to make the as close to 90 degrees as possible;

    I think someone did it, and it worked fine but I cant find the thread now...

    If you using a mamba monster & a Neu motor you need a battery that can supply the power.Below is a quote from castle creations from another forum

    The official stand of Castle is that any pack that can handle 75A continuous, and 150A peak is sufficient for use with the MMM.

    Im at 78% warning from this forum and I dont even own an erevo. I feel my constructive criticism has been misconstrued.

    Hmm, looks like a good way to build a 20s lipo setup, or dual motors with 10s escs perhaps?...
