I love it. Is that the Helios body? How does it fit? I considered getting one for my E, but it's made for the 2.5 and the E is even longer than the 3.3...

Oh, and the lights are very slick... is it a kit or homebrew? How'd you do it?

Yep, helios body. Ram lights# 144. The body is a little short, but you'll make it fit if you really wanted it to. I'm gonna get that red bling (push rods and tubes) that all you guys have when I get some more moo-lah. It runs great and believe it or not, I swore I would never leave nitro. I actually thought I would never re-visit the Traxxas forums. It's good to b back.

It is an awesome body. I get complimented on it all the time. I have another one that I didn't start yet. I plan to paint on the outside with some battle damage details. Just trying save up for an airbrush. I tried to fit a master chief figure on the inside window, but just couldn't find a way to fabricate a realistic dash, chair and steering wheel with the limited space I have left. I wish I had a better camera. The yellow is super bright and visible with little light. Next body will be camoflauge.

It's actually pretty damaged already. Forgot to mention that if you guys want to make your bodies last a little longer, I used automotive chrome molding on the roof and hood. It helps a lot with long flips and scrapes along the pavement. Use it along edges and center of the roof. It's around 15 bucks for a 25 foot roll at automotive stores. I wish i could of found a better place to mount the lights. A front end collision will cause those lights to go bye bye quckly. The ram lights are pretty nice, I just had to go buy a toggle switch at radio shack.

So how long until you accidently smash up your headlights? :P

One bash session and I think I'd have killed them.

I have a Losi Drift-R which has the headlights in the RC body and they keep falling off because I bash it too hard. I tend to be very hard on my RCs though.

Well, I hope they last a while. I might add a small plug so I can quickly disconnect them and use another bumper when I don't need lighting. We have to be rough with our cars in this hobby. Being too careful is never fun.

Biggz, that thing is bad! I love it! The black wheels really make it look tough too. Nice work! That is straight-up B.A. Baracus tough!

Agreed, that's why I have so many RCs, in case I need a spare.

Finally, it's out. Been watching that one for a bit myself.
Looks tight. Too bad it isn't a tad longer, but it still looks good anyways.

Can you take a profile shot or three to see just how "too short" it is? The 2nd pic almost looks like it fits, but it's not a direct profile.

    The ESC's:

I used the plastic mount that came with the VXL and drilled two holes into the piece of stainless steel to mount onto the chassis. The ESC's are held on by 3m automotive molding tape. The headlights were simple because the lights came with nuts that are screwed onto the headlight. I just had to drill my own holes into the bumper.

very impressive . nice setup . just curious not knocking on your setup but why are the wires from the esc and motor are tangled around or spinned .

very nice lights . maybe ill do the same as you using the esc mounts , as of right now im just using 2way velcrow.

They're braided. it makes the installation look a lot cleaner and it helps make the wires more organized and manageble compared to using tie wraps. I might have used 3 tie wraps with all those wires, unslow harness included.

nice . thanx ,i like your idea on the master chief guy , and it sorta does look like a warthog from halo lol , .. ive been limited on my runs on mine because the fact the esc fans were on back order for a long time .. but there finally back in stock and there ordered ..

i was lookn at another post by jlanders001 in this e-revo section http://monster.traxxas.com/showthread.php?t=430752

i noticed his motor heatsinks with cooling fans . i was considering something a little better since i just have the heatsinks ..

would this work on a 3s setup , or if you know of anothers that are good let me know thx ..

I have a model of the warthog and its the exact same vehicle with some minor differences on the front end. I'm thinking the higher voltage would make the fans spin faster, not sure though.

maximizer beadlocks. They're considerably lighter then other beadlocks on the market. You can get them at amain or tower. I'm not sure if they came with the 17mm hub, but if not, you will definitely have to change the hubs. I used the splined hubs from the revo platinum.
