Very nice, those tires seem to be a good size for the slash.

You should really just get some 17mm hex's and run 1/8 buggy tires if you want something different... Running those makes it no different than your Ruslter with a new body....

Dude it's totally different. It boggles my mind when people without a Slash (and especially those with one) say that it's no different than a Rustler or Stampede just because they have the same bulk head and arms.

Same tranny same suspension... the thing that makes this truck stand out the most would be the tires and body.. the shock towers are the same so it's just the body mounts that are different there.. LOL ohh ya and the extended bumpers please the chassis layout is different but it even uses the same steering bellcranks.. lol every vital part is the same and yet I love people who think there is a big difference between it and a Rustler. The best upgrade they did w/ it was the waterproof reciever box, but that was an easy mod before and doesn't change performance.

Don't get me wrong it's a pretty cool truck.. and will be a great mover Traxxas.. just making a point.

Okay. The Rustler and the Stampede share bulkhead, transmission, shock towers, shocks (two are a tad longer), and arms also.

But they are also completely different.

I'm just making a point, too.

1fastrevo you have got to be kidding me. The slash doesn't get around the track anything like a stampeed rustler or bandit. It is a unique vehicle and if the only thing they changed on it was slap a heavy big body on and it now handles the way it does that would probably have been enough as the slash is pretty cool to drive. "every vital part is the same"? I always thought that a chassis was pretty vital to getting a car put together myself.

    BillH,
The motor is a Reedy Flash 15t with a Rooster ESC,,

The reason I tried the buggy wheels was because I want to run the paddles at the beach once in awhile and I thought the offset would keep the tires under the body for the scale look

I think that those bandit rims look pretty sweet on the truck.
