Radio: Traxxas 27MHz AM TQ-3 pistol grip with servo reverse,
trim controls, digital ball bearing steering servo, standard
throttle servo, and one mini servo, 4 channel micro receiver
whats up with the mini servo and why does it come with the tq-3?

@ 80% for years?
maybe it is for a future reverse package
thats what i was thinking...the chassis has an empty servo slot also

im pretty sure the mini servo is for shifting on vehicles with that option. since it is the slayer it could be for a reverse feature. but its a racing vehicle and i dont think reverse is legal.

That's for a second steering servo.Originally Posted by streetsports

maybe it could be for both! I would love to have reverse with a truck like this, because i drive them around as a lets say concervative basher. A reverse kit would be cool.
To many projects....So little cash.
I dont think they will come out with a reverse kit because its made to race so it would slow it down and probably not be legal. Like Rustler Racer said it is for a second steering servo there was another thread about if it was for reverse. Reverse would be kinda cool though I would louse speed but I have my Nitro Sport if I wanna go fast.

The #3905 E-Maxx comes with the 4-channel micro receiver as does the Slash. They fit in receiver boxes very well because they are smaller than the older Traxxas 2 & 3 channel receivers.

i wonder why tower says it comes with 1 mini servo though

It wouldn't be hard to convert the slayer to have reverse...Just get the older 3.3 or 2.5 servo boxes and then get all the stuff for reverse, install it and your good to go but it would be a downgrade if your racing, and possibly for bashing IMO. The truck is small enough that it would take tight turns...

you might end up needing a complete revo tranny because the gear ratio is different but idk maybe the reverse stuff will just slide right in but that will only work if the pitch is the same plus the gears might be too big/small to work out since its a different ratio

I've got my Nitro 4-Tec in my lap right now, it came with a 3 channel radio but there's only steering and throttle....Originally Posted by streetsports

the jato and the 4tec come with 3 channel recievers not radios

isn't the extra slot on the receiver for transponders you get when you race?
My Jato and Rustler both came with 2 channel rx's and tx's so this hole extra channel thing must be something new...
