It will probably be here tomorrow. Anything I should know and/or look for before running it?

VXL is what I hear! 6-7 cell or a 2s lipo is what sounds best! Good luck let us know what you think I am looking at one of these trucks but I think I will wait for 4wd or make one.
Waitin' on a Slayer it seems...

On both of mine the front shock caps were loose.
I tried being reasonable, I didn't like it.
Good to know. thx

I say run it as is before going brushless with it. It is slow with the original set up, but on a small tight track, is very sufficient. As pointed out with the shock caps, check them. While your at it (this should be a given with all rc's) check and tighten all the screws. Use blue locktight anywhere there is metal to metal contact. Check your tires for proper adhesion of the glue, just use your thumbs and press the sidewalls away from the rim a bit to make sure there are no gaps. You could even get picky and check the weight balance of them, but as said, they are kinda slow so if its off a bit, no big deal. Most important thing, HAVE FUN with it!!!![]()

icepick mentioned about tyres being out of balance... mine are very very bad, like the wheel is buckles(its not btw)
but i dont think theres anything that can be done
i checked mine all over before running and there were no problems at all
Sure you can fix it. Just balance the front first (modeling clay,or stick on weights cut for the right weight), then put the rears on the front, and repeat. Just give them a little spin, and when they are just about done spinning, if the are out of balance, the heavy spot will stay on the bottom.

yer i have seen people do that before but i didnt think there was any point as the wheels are not just unbalanced the tyre is glued at an angle so when you spin the wheel it wobbles from side to sideOriginally Posted by icepick832

I love it!!! It is great! No mud around today, though. Maybe some rain tomorrow.
