I hear you guys. I wish I would have gotten into R/C when I was in my teens. Maybe it would have kept me away from the booze and women. Nothing but trouble I tell ya.

If more parents would actually look into R/c they would see its good clean fun around folks who have spent time and money on their cars to come out and have fun.I'd Rather have my kids R/c Freaks(which they are) and out in a field running a muck with their cars than with other kids at the mall spending money on useless things and possibly getting into trouble or worse.... drugs.

Lol my mom doesn't know a thing about rc cars and annoys her when I talk about them, and she doesn't wanna learn! Whatever, my dad kinda gets it, hes a mechanic so he can help me fix it and stuff, I keep trying to remember to get him to drive it but it keeps braking! Im in the same boat as some of you guys (mow 4 money) and I wish I had an actual job but there aren't any! Lol sounds wierd, kid's begging for a job when it's usually the parents telling the kids to go get a job.

my dad and mom dont think getting an r/c is a good way to spend my money, but i told them i have more that enought for the slash.and i can put the rest towards college and that is kinda helping.I also mow lawns plus i wash and wax cars .I get $6/hr from my grandpa and $5/hr for my dad.I work almost everyday.I got my dad to go to our lhs so go talk to the hs about the slash. That kinda worked him so i think i little more conviencing and i'll be getting myself a slash.

My parents actually like RCs. they like the fact I work on them and you can learn stuff. 3 RCs truck in the garage is the limit though.

I think your Dad is cheap, and should be paying you $12/hr. Your grandpa is probably retired and pays more than your dad? Whats up with that! Dad give the kid a raise!

I think that's something you'll understand more when you're older and have your own children.
