problems running lipo lvc

hey guys im just set up my slash with a 5000mah 2s lipo and the required lvc its a novak 2 cell lipo smart stop my problem is that on forward the motor stumble then takes off unless i give it gratual throttle in reverse it works fine though has any one had any similar problems ? also i dissconected the lvc and the truck runs fine and i tried two different lvcs and the same problem occurs ......any remedies ?or do i have to just slap in a vxl setup lol

What LVC are you using? Do you need to "calibrate" it or anything?

It also could be that the battery voltage dips below the LVC threshold when you take-off (which is where the largest currents are) causing your problem. Although, 5Ah lipo voltage shouldn't dip that much, especially for stock motor/ESC...

The Novak lvc does not work properly with the XL5 unfortunately. If you search through the threads on this forum you will find some other discussion on it, including a suggested alternate brand.

Yes I programed it and followed all the steps in the instructions

Ok gentlemen I found the problem ........don't use the novak smart stop with the stock slash esc it won't work apparently it been an issue I called novak tech support and the tech informed me that its a common issue with the incompatability with the esc they are looking into it .........sooooooo don't use the *novak smart stop lipo lvc * vxl setup here I come!!!!!!

Some guys told me on the rustler board to use a lipo LVC they showed me some they light up and beep really loud when your set voltage cut off gets reached..

thanks alot for the advice guys i just went and installed a vxl setup biiiiig difference even with only a 2s lipo woooohooooooo
