    Battery run times

I want to buy some new batteries for my Slash and just wondering what runtimes other people are getting with different size batteries with a stock Slash setup?

I have Venom 6cells 3000mah. I run around 20minutes or so. Will see how it is with the 4500mah 7 cells coming next week.
Also keep in mind I am wide open most of the time.
    Slash - stock for now.

i run 6 cell intellect 4200's and get 15-20 minutes. also i am mostly wide open in bashing. and instead of using the braking i usually try to coast through turns. but that might be one reason why the back end keeps flying out and causing the truck to spin out.

I still have not drained my lipo 8000. I get bored... longest I've gone was an hour and fifteen minutes. Yawn...

I just raced the Slash for the first time last night. We had a full heat of them...most people running lipos so we run a 10 minute main.

My venom 2200 7.4v dumped just shy of 10 minutes...most people I talked to thought I would easily reach 10-15 minutes. I wonder if it will get better the second time I charge and run it?

    Sounds about right for a 2200mah, actually. I get 18min out of a mid-range 4500mah 7.4v in my Slash.

What I don't understand is this...a buddy of mine has a 5000mah lipo and he's getting near an hour of runtime.

Another buddy of mine is running a 3200mah lipo and he's getting well past 30 minutes.

Difference is they're running brushless...could it really make that much of a difference?

From what I understand the brushless will make that big of a difference. There is far less drag within the motor itself.
