Well I wouldn't SUBMERGE it like in a pool, but in mud, puddles, etc...and yup 6 and 7 cell NIMH work great...LIPOs, since they have such a big discharge rate, I'd keep them dry...

I would cover the plug up and wrap the battery in a couple layers of seran wrap.

Well I ran mine in light rain yesterday and I think the ESC is fried.

I can't believe it's just from 1.5 runs on a 7 cell, I suspect the rain might have something to do with it...

It was barely sprinkling, and the ground and grass were wet.

But there is several videos on youtube of people completely submersing them.

One guy jumps his into a kiddie pool... so who knows???

So far you don't completely need to wrap the battery or connector, but you can never go wrong if you wrap that rascal...haha

Yeah, I'm pretty bummed about it... this is the first weekend I would have probably been able to run it some more, and just bought the 7 cell...

Guess I will call Traxxas tonight and see if I can get a replacement...

How does that work??? Do you have to ship the ESC back first? Or can I give them a CC number, have them ship me one, then send the other back and if I don't they charge me???

I'm sure if you give them a call they'll let you know what you need to do. I have only had the best experiences with Traxxas' customer service so I trust they will take care of you.
