    Lil Slash Action

So it rained part of the day here and figured I'd have some fun. PhotoPunk was supposed to join but duty called and he had to go make some $$$. I have a huge retention area behind my neighborhood. Its the whole reason I bought the Slash. Its clay, sand, open, and rough. I took some action shoots with the cell phone. I have a decent camera on there so it turned out ok. Enjoy!

Who knows why, but the Slash looks great dirty or clean (though some might argue that it looks better dirty ).

I tried being reasonable, I didn't like it.

Those are sweet photos! Thanks for sharing. My stock esc and motor are staying in for that kind of bashing...leave the brushless for the parking lot (SNORE!!)

haha. That was only a run on one pack. That area is about 10 acres total.

I got scared for a minute when the motor got clogged and locked for a sec. Cleaned it out and finished running. It got a bath and a coating of silicone afterwards. I use CRC Marine grade silicone to clean and lube. I use it on my ski after salt water runs and its electronic and plastics compatible.

I want to get some paddle tires for my <second?> Slash. My only problem with that is that I have no desire to glue them. Usually a factory can preglue them better than I.

Paddles would be pretty good for mud.

A kid at the LHS has paddles on his Slash with a brushless/lipo setup. He throws huge rooster tails. I only got stuck a couple times yesterday. The retention area is pretty hard packed. But I imagine my runs would have been a lot faster and controlable with paddles.
