11.1V is too much for both the ESC and the motor. If you want to use lipos, 2S 7.4V is as high as it can go.

The Mamba Max controller, yes. The Castle Creations motors are particular, though... some do, some don't.
i just bought one for my dad, and i wanna make it foolproof, any rpm's or anything out for them yet?

RPM's, as in the company RPM? If that's what you mean, the shock towers, front arms, bearing carriers, shock spacers, spring cups, and spur cover will all transfer from the Stampede/Rustler/Bandit over to the Slash. Since the Slash has its servo off the the side and not between the shocks like the Stampede, get a front shock tower for the Nitro 'Pede/Rustler. It has a brace across the top, which makes it stiffer. The rear arms are lifted from the Nitro Rustler/Stampede and the ones RPM makes to replace them don't have the shock mounting options the stock ones do.
