    Glitching after installing MM 7700

Droped this esc and motor in my slash and now my range has reduced. When I get to about half a block the car starts to jerk and I lose my signal. Anyone else have this problem? Probably going to upgrade to a 2.4 ghz radio.

i've herd about glitching with the mm and spectrum and digitail servos on other forums... they said that it was because the rx was not getting enough power from the mm. to check the problem they said to plug in a receiver pack and see if it still glitches...

    hope it helps

Spektrum makes a receiver capacitor to prevent that, but I'm not sure if it works on any receiver or only their own. That's almost certainly the issue though - too much power draw from MM

Sounds like he is still using the stock radio, not the spektrum.

I had similar problems when I upgraded to a 5700 and the spektrum radio solved the problem.
I tried being reasonable, I didn't like it.

Yes I am still using the Traxxas TQ radio. Probably gonna get a Futaba 3PM 2.4 ghz or an Airtronics MX-3 FHSS 2.4 ghz.

had the same problem when I got my mamba. Try twisting the motor and battery wires around like a spiral. dont know what it does but it gives a bit more range.

Braiding is better than twisting. Yes, the MM motors put out a bit of interference along with all that power. I had the same problem and I bought a DX3.0 to solve it. I also have the Spektrum "voltage protector" capacitor, but haven't used it since way before the new radio.

You ned a ferrite ring or a new radio. I've been there.
