Ran the 8000 mah 3s lipo with the 23/86 gearing. Suspension is really soft for the weight of the cam...put in a set of shock spacers in the front. You can hear the body rub on braking. (have tape under the fenders protecting the paint)

even with the weight of the cam, at times it looked like the front tires were really close to being off the ground. it's really neat to watch the suspension deflect under braking and cornering. and to watch the tires just sort of disappear under the front fenders when you brake or corner real hard

It's awesome to watch the front suspension go through its range of motion. Minus the whine of the brushless (and the obvious scale difference) and you'd swear the truck was 1:1. How bad do the Slash tires balloon?

From all of the video I have watched it looks like they don't balloon at all. I am sure they do a little bit but not much...

haha not sure...it's not as easy to see the tires under the fenders...hehe

I'm sure they balloon but they seem much thicker so probably less than usual.

When you take a hard turn and it starts the one wheel peel you will see some definite ballooning. My VXL with 5000nimh blew out the stock output yokes and seperated the glue from the tires. I replaced the yokes with the hardened steel yokes and replaced the stockers with beadlocks and problem solved!

I really liked that POV. It's nice to see how the suspension articulates like that. I think it might also be neat to mount a camera on the side of the vehicle so you see what's ahead and the front of the car and wheel.

Nice!! Thats awesome. I picked up a 19x2 and a 14t pinion last night. A little slow on long runs. But holeshot is awesome and it'll climb a tree. I'm in La. this weekend. Call me next week.
