got my slash but got battery problems?

i got trinity 7c 5000mah packs with my new slash but the directions say to charge in linear mode (never heard of) and i have a vision peak 2 charger is that going to work?

Yes should work fine.

Does your charger do 7 cell batts, 5000mah, and nimh? If so, I'm pretty sure you're good to go.

Hi if it don't go up to 5000MAH then it will false peak just re start charge and it will fill up the battery and peak correctly and peak charge it...The manual says on there site 3000+ batteries so i would say your good to go...Charge it already!! Let us know how you like the slash!!

I've noticed some of the recent higher-capacity NiMh batteries have had their mfg recommending linear over pulsed charging. My Team Orion Rocketpack 4500 also had that noted on the packaging. I think it's a new trend and am not going to guess which is better as I've read a lot of arguments for both. It's like bringing up synthetic oil vs good ol' dead dinosaur sauce. It makes me tired...

Is it possible that the charger is false peaking, since the pack is new? That can tend to happen with newer packs. How many times have you tried to charge it?

I agree on the venom. I bought a 4200 7 cell and it seems flat. I am hoping after a few charges that it will wake up.

not sure the amp lights start blinking shortly after it starts charging and i tried three or four times no change

Hmm... well I guess I would contact the manufacture of the battery pack first and see what they have to say. If you cannot get your charger to charge it, there isn't a whole lot you can do. Hopefully you can get a helpful response from Trinity.

That is what you should be noticing. New battery packs tend to be a little "sleepy" when you first get them. After a few cycles (3-5, usually), they start to "wake up."
