    Thanks to all for comments

If you buy the Traxxas Wheel Hubs Splined 17mm Blue-Anodized, don't forget to buy a Wheel Wrench Splined 17mm too

Like these ones for example : http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...H=wrench+17mm+.

    My E-Maxx is INDESTRUCTIBLE

This weekend was a pure moment of bashing and express rock-crawling !!!
I made lots of jumps, crashes ( ), unsuccessful (and successful !) frontflips and backflips... and my E-Maxx is still alive !!!!!!!!
I jumped over a cave (5 metres high) but regrettably I had no my camera
I just have some pics taken after a run. My E-Maxx is finally a little bit dirty Video soon.

    I love my E-Maxx

the rims are nice but very weak I have busted 3 rims on mine so far. If they do break give them a call and the will send you replacements.

I didn't understand all your questions but I'm going to try to answer !

I chose a 68/14 FDR to have both good torque (= wheelies on demand !) and good speed (about 34mph - 55 kmh). This FDR is perfect for bashing and express rock-crawling.
I removed the stock heatsink because you have to cut some fins so that it fits. And I haven't the appropriate tools to do that ! Moreover this heatsink isn't very necessary for bashing. And I prefer to install an Integy heatsink+fan. Some new interesting Integy heatsinks will be available soon. I wait for the pictures of these ones to see if I will buy one of them :

    - http://www.integy.com/cgi-bin/webc.c...=5663&p_catid= (I don't know what's that !)
    - http://www.integy.com/cgi-bin/webc.c...=5664&p_catid= (idem !)

And I don't know if the ESC is brushed compatible

Don't hesitate to ask me some questions (new or not !), I love talking about my E-Maxx

I discovered a new Novak motor cooling kit for the HV motors not still available :

You can see it in the pics of the Novak Conversion Kits like this one : http://www.teamnovak.com/products/br...011D-1_CEN.pdf.

A next option for my E-Maxx ! It's never finished

That works by replacing the middle section of the motor (black sleeve) with a finned motor mount for cooling, complete with fan. Might look a bit odd on a maxx, since you use the holes in the front of the motor to mount it, rather than the middle section that screws onto the strators- will still work though.

After seeing this truck, I know why I requested a black e-maxx from my LHS. Hopefully they get a black one in first.

    Thanks !

This place is Fontainebleau, a forest in the south of Paris in France : a paradize for bashers and climbers

Next time I would make a true race between my van and my E-Maxx

Please tell me someone else was driving the van and someone else was taping. Otherwise I'm really impressed that you can drive an R/C, tape a video, and drive a van! HAHA

Brilliant video. Reminds me of the woods near me yet again, just without the jumps. Looks like your truck is going really well. I hope mine is as tough as that once it's finished.

You know, you could have built a truck that strong for cheaper. A Stampede with a few RPM parts would be bulletproof. Either way, sweet truck. I love the E-maxx.

I discovered close to my home another moutain bike track in a forest !! The jumps are huge
I tested them with my E-Maxx, it was a great moment Unfortunately I hadn't taken my camera

I "only" broke my chassis and tore some dust boots :

Fortunately I have another chassis in stock (I'm going to dye it in black - pics soon).

I replaced my old brass pinion gear with a stainless steel pinion gear, look at the difference between these two brass pinion gears :

    Before :

    After 3 months :

The tooth are worn and the hole is bent... So don't use brass pinion gears !

I will post a vid of my E-Maxx on this new track at the end of July

Yes I know (Novak sells new 32P 5mm bore pinion gears also). I bought Kershaw Designs stainless steel pinion gear and they look good (I will test the RC-Monster, Novak and Robinson Racing steel pinion gears to know the differences).
