    MMM with Titans?

I'm not sure if this has been discussed before or not, but would it be possible to drive the two stock Titans with a MMM ESC, assuming you wire them correctly?

Wouldn't you want to wire the motors in Parallel so each motor sees full voltage.

Hmm.... maybe there was a reason my Novak LVC was backordered.

Now, if I place an order at Tower, what will I need for it? Bullet connectors? Wire? Obviously some kind of connectors for the batteries.

Wow I didnt know you could do that. That would make using lipos allot easier and still use the titans for a while..
When you buy the mmm you need the programmer seperate rite? I donr think its like the mm as it doesnt have a built in usp port.. Anyone got a link to the special programmer cord or does it come with it?

    It will come with it:

"The Mamba Monster ESC includes Castle Link™ USB Programming Kit– drivers can use their Castle Link and a Windows PC to tune and tweak additonal settings, such as:

    Throttle response curve
    Brake response curve
    Saved profile setup files
    Punch control
    Separate brake strength
    Separate reverse power "

jay, does this wiring account for the fact that one motor spins in reverse of the other?

The 6.5mm bullets should suffice, no? 12ga wire should also be plenty for the brushed motors, right?

All you need to do is flop the polarty on one of the Titans to reverse the rotation.

Or if timing on the motor is an issue, you can either adjust it or - if you want to just play it safe, spring 12 bucks on a new Titan (non-reversed).

Alrighty then, what connectors (and how many) do I need to hook this stuff up? I've read different things about how things will be on the first run. If I need to order 2 packages of 6.5mm bullets then I'll do that.

    huh?

I dont see the point in this? Why would you want to spend 175 on the MMM to just run the stock titans that the stock evx-2 runs just fine,A 7xl or 8xl arent expensive, Why not just pick up one of them until you can afford a Neu. I dont think you will beable to put more volatage to the titans.

I'm not trying to get anything more out of the Titans. I plan on brushless anyway, and rather than spend $25 on an LVC (or $50 on two) I can get the MMM which I planned on buying anyway which has a built in LVC. I also don't have to worry about the EVX2 smoking my motors or batteries (rumors abound). When the Titans finally give up the ghost I can pony up the $100+ for a Medusa, Mega, etc. I don't think the truck will be boring to drive on brushed power, but I have bigger plans down the road. No sense in sinking money into LVCs that I'll never use when I get what I REALLY want.

Alright, I'm piecing together an order list. Can anyone confirm how many 6.5mm bullet connectors you need for the MMM? I plan to order tonight. There are 5 plugs in the prerelease pictures, but I've read that some will have wires with bullets already.

    In wiring up the motors:

    ESC + to Motor 1 +
    Motor 1 + to Motor 2 -
    ESC - to Motor 1 -
    Motor 1 - to Motor 2 +

I already have a 14awg Deans series adapter for the batteries.

Basically, yeah. I could eat the elephant all in one sitting, but I think I'll appreciate brushless more when I don't have it to begin with. I had brushless from day one with my Stampede. It didn't leave me much time to really learn the truck because it was so fast.
