I am. I go out for a ton of things. Go out for trout at the end of March all the way through May. Then in June I'll go out for bass, small mouth and large mouth. Also during the summer, my friends and I will go out night fishing for catfish, that is a blast. And when I get a chance, I try to go deep sea fishing in September for blue fish. I go out of New Jersey on the night trips, great time! Then in the fall we go out for trout again as it's start to get cold out again. I've gone out a few times in February and March for walleye too. Also this year, I caught my first trout on a fly pole, I've never really fly fished before, so that was a new experience.

Trout - 2 hook custom rig
Spanish Mackerel - small live minnow
King Mackerel - small crappy, trout, pinfish etc
Small Shark - seems to take anything randomly
Blue - the custom rig gets some as well as the small live minnows
Red - 2 hook custom rig
    Largemouth Bass - lures

thats what i usually go for throughout the seasons.

Trout and Bass mostly...I use spinners (Rooster Tails and Panther Martins) and spoons (Home Made Secret Weapon) for the trout, and plastic worms, crankbaits, and spinner baits for the bass.
With a purposeful grimace and a terrible sound...

Hmmmmm. Let me think… yea that’s right SNOOK! And the occasional Tarpon, (Bow's to the King). Natural bait available in the area at the time, and homemade break-away jigs, I’m talking 3+ oz here. G-Loomis rods (Fear No Fish) and Shimano reels.
    No slipper/tall gearing/power = broken parts.

I fish bass tournaments on a regular basis. Most of them are on lake Allatoona here in north Georgia. I fished Wednesdat night and lost horribly! Only weighed in 3 fish, the others I caught were under 12". I caught the 3 keepers on a Super Fluke and weighted hook. I also caught some smaller fish on carolina rigged tubes.
The answer is no. And yes, mine is faster.

I tournment fish for Bass. Have done pretty well the last few years and picked up a few sponsors. Not making any money yet, but it is good fun. I pretty much target any freshwater species when I am not after bass.

As for lure, Yamamoto Senkos and large, multibladed spinners FTW.

For spinning gear I use a Quantum Energy PTi, but I may get to replace it with the new Tour Edition PTi.

For baitcasters I have used a variety of Quantum and Shimano's and they just don't hold up. I have replaced them all with a Abu Garcia C4 and an Abu Garcia REVO.

As for rod, I have to fish with Gander Mountain Guide Series rods and they have been working great. I also got a few GS reels(spinner and baitcaster) to try out last year and the spinner reels are the only ones holding up, so I am not ready to make an exclusive jump until the baitcasters are improved.

Line- Trilene, different versions based on conditions.
I tried being reasonable, I didn't like it.

Its pointless trying to list all my rods so I just went down and took some pics. My favorite rods are G-Loomis GLX rods. I also like the Quantum PTi but the old Curados have always been my favorites. But to tell you the truth, my Pflueger Trion is just as nice and casts smoother. Here are a few of my set-ups and some of my tackle.

And to prevent from clogging the thread up, here are some links to more pics.

I never said I was good at fishing. If I tallied up how much per pound each fish cost me to catch I would cry. Including my rods/reels, tackle, boat, and license I don't want to know how much there is....

My dad and I fish for striped bass (a.k.a. stripers, or rock fish). I couldn't tell you what kind of rods or reels we use but we use a cruddy Ryan-Craft redneck boat. We use the guts of gizzard shad for bait. YUM!

i love saltwater. i used to live in florida. it was aweosme.

anyways, now in IL, all we got is bass now. we got all of the large and small mouths totally dialed in at the lakes around my house. we always use the same bait, and retreiving technique, and they just hit it like they never seen it before.

no.....i aint tellin nobody what i am using. all you need to know is...I am nailin 5+ lb large mouths in my little old neighborhood lake with this junk. it is awesome!
Don't worry, its a rental. It can take it...

Little old neighborhood lakes are the best place to fish! I used to go to one and catch 3 and 4lb largemouth and 25lb+ catfish all day long. I also caught a 2lb 11oz shell cracker(red ear sunfish) on a large minnow. It was more fun than the bass. I thought it was a record when I caught it but I found out the state record is like 4lbs!

i'm personally a fan of stream fishing...mostly for trout, use spinners, spoons, worms w/floating jig heads...usually use my ultra light rod/real combo, because its allot more fun "fighting" with the fish IMO...carry everything in my vest and have hip waders so i can get to all the sweet spots in the streams...been wanting to try out fly fishing too, just have to make a decision on what rod/real i want to buy...

I fish quite a bit actually.
I fish for Northern Pike, Bass, Trout, Perch. We have alot of options up here for fish.
Pike are my favorite though...they'll hit darn near anything thats shiny.

I used to fish for Carp using a rig on my compound bow when I lived in a different town. We'd go out in the canoe and stick one of them big fat mothers with an arrow and let him pull us around until he got tired then finish him off.
I think that is illegal in alot of places..but they are a pain in the but around here and they just want to get rid of them.

I actually went out yesterday. I havent fished in probably 10 years. I quite when all my stuff got stolen.

Well, yesterday I decided to fish again. Took my oldest daughter to Bass Pro and bought 2 rods with reels, a tackle box and a few lures and we went fishing.

I do a lot of bowfishing for bowfin and carp, and although it is not illegal, people on the lake, including the police give me a very hard time about it. The only person that doesn't give me any problems is the DNR officer as he is the only person that knows what I am doing is legal.

Wow, I've never bowfished before, although it IS legal in PA, but only for Carp and Suckers. I only really use an ultralight rod and reel combo for trout and sometimes small mouth, and I have what I call my "river pole". Which is a 7' Shakespeare Ugly Stick (great rods for the price) and a Shimano spin reel. I use that for the large mouth fishing and for night fishing for catfish and carp. Still fixing up my boat to take that out on the river and lake which I'm close to.

We just went yesterday at the pond right across the road.My 7 year old brother caught a bass then a brim. Then ,I think a bass, bit his bait but got away about 10 feet from the shore.I didn't catch a thing.Except seaweed and couple of sticks. And, oh yeh, my pants.

We mainly use jitterbugs, and things like that.We hardly ever use live worms just because we don't need to.

There are supposedly two bass [at least] in that pond that weigh like 5 pounds. One guy caught one in another pond, and then put it in the one over here.So maybe one day we'll catch one of them.
