    Question Graphics Card

    When playing some of my computer games my Geforce 6200 gets up to 150 (f) is that to hot?

    What program do you use? Most of the ones I use measure in C. My 8800GT is 143F at idle (Crappy case) Or 62C. And a max of 76C or 168F. I think your card should be ok.




    P.S. You can play games with a 6200?

    My Nvidia 8600GT idles at 57C (135F). I have a case that keeps everything really cool though.

    Likewise, I wouldn't worry about it. At least with the 8-series card, the maximum acceptable is well above water boiling - 100-127C depending on model if I'm not mistaken. My 8800GT has the reference cooler, and in a Cooler Master 690 with 6 140mm fans, it still idles at ~43C.
