Painted the outside of a Pro-Line Raptor body I already had for my son, for his birthday... He likes orange and black. It's matte black and fluorescent orange.

During painting...

"Finished"

BTW, I had no clue that Rustoleum would do that to plastidip... Apparently it has some ingredients that should be used to clean the plastidip... Lol.

And I peeled the plastidip from the front and driver side windows. It turns out its an awesome paint mask as well.

Here's the whole thing together.

Swapped my Stampede rear arms and camber links so the wheels and tires fit correctly. And ended up lifting the body a couple inches so the tires didn't rub.

I resurrected a beat up Slash from Craigslist, with Castle Creations Sidewinder SCT combo, ProLine Trenchers, a ProLine Body lift, and new TQi transmitter/receiver.

I love the new tires!

Looks so good.

Had to shave away some body and chassis to make the tires fit.

The 4 pole 3800 KV motor has crazy torque. Instantaneous wheelies. Looking forward to some better weather tp really test it out.

That is the sweetest Slash chassis I've ever seen, and at $85.00 a **** of a deal. I was going to try to hunt down a Gorillamaxx CF, but I think this just changed my mind.

Very used, rarely broken.

Love this truck.

I generally only upgrade as I break parts, but the only parts I've ever broken on this truck was a rear hub carrier...So some upgrades were...preemptive..

this is the pro line desert rat body it seems to be the only body i could find that i really liked. its painted with Pactra RC car paint $6.50 a can but this is flex paint for this purpous. not a bad job for being painted with rattle cans. since it was my first one i experimented a little and on the top of the rear qtrs is cobalt blue with a silver backing and if you notice it fades to the front with a real sharp blue thats cuz i used a black backing on the blue. its neat how it came out the rear if you look hard looks like pearl paint with a hint of blue in it. anyhow just some ideas for other.
