    Brushless ideas??

Ok guys, what do you think the weight of this puppy will be?? Which brushless setups are you guys thinking for this thing? I just got my emaxx, converted it to a V-twin and might be selling it for this sick ride!!

How much do you want to spend, how fast to go?

    ~220 - 8xl, MM esc, CC BEC, 5mm bore pinion, 4mm bullets (4s lipo 38~40mph)
    ~280 - Twin-V, parallel battery plug, y for esc wires, 22t pinons (6s lipo ~50mph w/ good temps)
~450 - Neu 1515 or Platty or similar (1y or 1.5d), MMM esc, 5mm pinion, direct solder, 4s-6s lipo (45-65mph)

Thanks Stumblin and sorry for the noob question but are all these setups you mention running off of one or two lipos? Just trying to keep the cost down as much as possible.

Number of lipo backs is pretty much determined by the available space on th truck- there is only room for a 4000-5000mah 2 or 3s lipo on each side of the chassis, so that gives you your answer. The difference in price between a couple of 2s and a 4s lipo, or 2x 3s and 6s comes down to the extra wire, plugs, and shrink wrap required to build 2 packs, rather than one larger one.

The official word is the 2s 8000 packs will fit in the stock location of the new erevo, which means the biggest 3s pack you can fit is a 6000mah. So those are your limitations.. Buying a bunch of 6k packs would give you the most voltage options.. buy two 2s 6000 packs and two 3s 6000 packs and you can do anything from 4s to 6s. Those systems will all run well with 4s setups, they will run a little cooler with 5s setups, and I would reserve 6s for 'insaine' speed runs for the most part.

EDIT: I just doubled checked on those 3s 6k packs and they are a touch bigger than I had noted so who knows.. they may not fit 32mm vs 26mm I was thinking they were with in a mm or so of each other...

    Really? I thought a 5000 3s was the same size as a 8000mah 2s.

a 3s 5000 is about the same size as the 2s 6000 (the 3s5k is just a touch mm or so bigger). The 3s 6k and 2s 8k are nearly identicle as well.

That is good to know. Now true rc needs to come out with some 6000mah lipos. I could let them make it custom I guess. I would have to know the dementions of the batteries and the dementions of the battery trays before I purchase though.

MMM with a Neu or Pletty and you'll have the baddest electric MT around. I am sure glad I did not get the 3905 E-Maxx.

I'm with you mk, I almost was going to get the E-maxx. But after this showed up I might as well get this instead. I would just the the full MMM setup when it comes out. Or get a platty or neu as mkrusedc suggested with a mmm esc.
