    Who buys your R/Cs?

Obviously, the adults work their jobs to buy theirs, I do chores to make minimal cash for mine. How do you other teenagers get by?

My own job and gifts for x-mas and my birthday.

Every once in a while my dad will help pitch in for certain repairs, and he pays for half of the nitro fuel, which gets expensive.

But from Decemeber to last sunday i had a winter job working at the local mountain. Made about 2000 and putting that into a new mtb to try and race this summer.(and gram is giving me another 1500 for it also)

i just quit my job, so my next upgrades for now are birthday dependent. luckily that time is comin up in june.

i bought my a-arms, aluminum shocktowers, aluminum bulkheads, all replacement stock parts, recharable reciever system, fuel, whels, tires, and a few other little parts my self. exhaust, intake, were gifts. along with the truck. i had to put about $100 of my own money into support equiptment and what not the day of buying my truck. i put a lot into this thing. i am proud of it. traxxas is awesome.
Don't worry, its a rental. It can take it...

Sounds like most of you pay your own way like me. I'm going to try to get a job at the new Hobby Town USA that just opened 20 minutes from my house to pay for the new T-Maxx 3.3!!

i actualy have been starting to work on my neihbor's and surrounding kid's rc cars. (fixing them). so far i installed a spur on some car, like red cat or something. and fixed a tmaxx tranny. ogt 120 for it all!!

    its rediculous.

the red cat kid i insisted his father not to pay me as i enjoy working on these things. but he did any way. (i even told him no joke 5 times nah man, its fine!!)

the other kid's father wanted it done in 2 days so he payed up alot lol!!

I bought my first Nitro before I was a teenager, I paid $500 for it, and I went around my whole neighborhood for months washing cars and mowing lawns, I also vacuumed houses, After I built the kit, I was heartbroken that it didn't come with an engine or radio gear, I asked the neighbor that I bought it from why he didn't tell me that it didn't come with that stuff, he had already planned on me getting upset and had an OS 12 and futaba radio gear for me! He said he got it because he couldn't believe that I saved the money up all on my own, that is the ONLY help I have ever gotten besides my wife spending my money on parts for Christmas that she got me

I wish I could work on other people's cars. Nobody in Lugoff, South Carolina has a clue what nitro is, let alone know about any hobby cars.
