    Rusty needs some parts

well, the cold and a little to high of a curb is not a good for my rustler. damage was done to the front bulkhead and tower. i was wanting to try out the integy bulkhead and FLM tower. my buddy said all im going to do is bend parts instead of breaking them. plus he said it would be better to get rpm tower and just replace the bulkhead with the stock. So...my question is do you agree with that? I understand you need some give, but you also need some strong points too. for the people that has the aluminum bulkheads and towers...better upgrade for stronger parts or just a good look?

I would suggest an STRC or FLM aluminum bulkhead and the RPM shock tower. Having an aluminum bulkhead gives you a strong foundation to mount the rest of the front suspension off of. Then the RPM shock tower is stiff enough to keep the suspension working but will flex enough to keep from breaking.

I have never had an Integy bulkhead but understand it is a two piece deal that is screwed together. That plus the reputation Integy has would make me steer clear of it and go for the STRC or FLM bulkhead.

I couldn't agree more. I would definately save the money on the shock tower and go for RPM, but spend a little more on the bulkhead, since everything is basically mounted from there. Same with most trucks, you want really strong and solid bulks, and flexible arms to absorb the impacts.

Yeh, as a general rule, stay away from Integy. It might look nice, and be cheap, but they use poor quality aluminium which tends to bend.

buy the flm tower and bulkhead, although in 3 years, 2 pedes and a rusty ive only broken 1 bulkead and cracked a shock tower (front)
FLM 4s Rustler, MM, lowered, more FLM soon
