    Servos

Ok, whell it looks like the balloons don't waterproof the servos... soooo..... I need a new steering servo. What should I get Futaba or Hitec and what modle? I only have $60 right now and I need to get a roto start. My dad might loan me some money so just give me a good quality servo.

Edit: I also have the spekturm reciever. It was the spektrum race servo that broke.

i'm personally a fan of the Futaba servos myself...i would use one of these...

    Futaba S3010 Standard High-Torque Servo (<-- click!)...
    Futaba S3305 Servo High-Torque Standard w/Metal Gears (<-- click!)...

or if you want a digital one
Futaba S9452 Digital High Speed/Torque Servo (<-- click!)...

The Futaba S3305 is a great, and popular servo. Other popular picks are the Hitec 625MG and 645MG. For the Hitec servos, you'll need a different servo adapter. Traxxas part number 5545X. The Futaba servo will work with the stock parts, and I should mention that all of these servos are well within your budget!

Wow, they are expencive. lol I want the one with metal gears but that puts me up to $80 and I only have $60. Great 2 people that know what they are talking about, whell I guess futoba s3305 is it and if they don't have that it will be the hitec. Will both of those work on the spektrum dx3.0 good?

yes they should work very well with the spectrum radio...you could save your self $10 going with the S3010...down sides are no metal gears and not quite as much torque as the S3305, but it does have a slightly better response time than the S3305...and just as another note its not like you need a servo with 100+ in. oz. of torque for steering the jato either...the jato is a very light truck compared to other ones, so even the S3010 has plenty of power to steer the jato IMO...for comparison the stock TRX 2055 steering servo is rated at 80 in. oz. ...and the Futaba S3010 is rated at 90 in. oz., which would be considered an upgrade from stock, and its also the same price as the 2055...

but I guess theres other good things in other servos like metal gears
