if it were me depends on your funds! me the 3.3 is second to none!
just think of it this way you will go faster with less stress friction as you did with the 2.5 don't get me wrong the 2.5 is a great motor but the 3.3 will give you alot more for alot longer! my son has the 2.5r in his t maxx and i have a 3.3 in another tmaxx he seems to like mine alot more! it does not get as hot and runs alot more for him! me I've got my revo with a 3.3 so he can keep up more then the older 2.5r in his maxx!

whell if I was going to stay with traxxas engines I would traid my 2.5 in for a new 3.3. But I would go to os 21tm. That is my next engine when my 3.3 dies.
No more money for rc trucks I got 1:1 truck

I've got a dam good .21pro ae and its in another tmaxx of mine, i think he was looking to rebuild or upgrade with traxxas engines! and to put a bb in is alot more then just a simple rebuild or upgrade with the same engines!!!

I would trade in the 2.5 for a 3.3, no replacement for displacement

you could always settle and go for a .18 but go with another brand.

yes it will be fine...just be sure to richen your HSN by the 1/2 - 3/4 turn that it states on the can of fuel and you'll be fine...stock settings for these engines are based on using 20% nitro...
