A true crawlerpede
A true crawlerpede
Extreme body drop exceed dynamite front shocks big bore in the back custom suspension mods a 72 chevy body chopped to reduce heat proline badlands in front and talons in back waiting on new tires all the way around
We go out on the beach and launch off the big dunes all the time. But I gotta say...it's rough on the truck. Usually break something.
But the stampede handles the sand and jumps so well I'm turning my rustler into one.

Hey guys. I'm new to the board and this is my first RC in awhile. Here is my Stampede VXL 4x4. It has some slight upgrades but nothing crazy. I really like it though.
My 4th Pede. This is my girly Platform. This specific body is for my nieces....
Build, Bash, Clean, Repair, Repeat..
Nothing special but won first place at a photo contest with this shot.
Pics of my first RC Traxxas Stampede 2WD XL-5 with the following upgrades:
#3350X Traxxas Velineon VXL-3S Brushless Power System
#2075 Traxxas Waterproof Digital high Torque Servo (ball bearing)
#2532 Traxxas Fiberglass Front Suspension Tie Bar
#4628X Traxxas hardened steel output yokes
#3617R Traxxas Stampede VXL ProGraphix Custom Body
#3678X Traxxas Blue Wheelie bar
#5186A Traxxas Rubber Tires Mounted on Blue-Anodized Wheelie Bar Wheels (2)/ 5x8mm Ball Bearings (4)/ Axles (2)
#1747R Traxxas Blue-anodized aluminum 4mm flanged, serrated lock nuts (4)
#3725X Traxxas Battery expansion kit
#5114 Traxxas Ball bearings, blue rubber sealed (5x8x2.5mm)
Zppy 3S 30C Lipo 6400 mAh
2.8 Proline Trenchers mounted on Desperado Wheels
RPM Blue Front Bumper
Really nice job. Cool lights. That thing must fly on 3S! Didn't know there was a wheelie bar wheel upgrade, I'll have to look into that if it makes for smoother wheelies. My trenchers balloon a lot at high speed but it doesn't seem to cause much trouble other than looking a little strange.

Live life to the fullest
I just jumped into all this a few months ago, but I'm sure loving it. I used to race electrics back when I was a kid, so it was fun to share all this with my daughter. We've been into Monster Jam lately, so I thought I would start off with Grave Digger.
I've been adding most of the RPM green parts, and have the fancy 30th body those "special" days when we aren't tearing it up.
Decided to throw in the side LEDs in the eyes, but don't do the best job at making the holes.
I live about an hour from the local hobby store, so I started buying up replacement parts so I wouldn't have to wait if something did break.
I realized that I was getting close to putting together another truck, and if I showed a little patience on eBay I could get some of the more expensive parts rather inexpensively, and I could build a Sun-uva Digger for my Daughter. I went with the original gray Stampede parts for Son-uva Digger, as I thought it would match the body pretty nicely.
Here's the finished truck with the fancy new body. My daughter is a little worried about scratching the shell but she's been tearing it up even since I handed her the controller.
I kept everything stock as it was cheaper and still working great for us. I've been out to the local BMX track and have done some major jumps with the Digger. I'm still shocked that I have yet to break anything yet, which is a good thing because now I'll need to build up my spare parts inventory after deciding to put together the new truck.
Well, that's about it. I'm a little bummed that Traxxas seems to have lost their Monster Jam licensing to New Bright (Bleh). I think I'll try to pick up a few new bodies before they jump up in price and become harder and harder to find.

WAS GOING TO GO ALL ALUMINUM BUT WAS TO HEAVY. BUT STILL, MORE UPGRADES TO COME... THIS THANG IS UNREAL!!! CANT HARDLY PLAY WITH IT ON 4S. LET ALONE ON 6S. DID 1 SPEEP RUN ON 6S... 104MPH. COMPLETLY SPLIT THE TIRES. (A BRAND NEW SET) I TORE THEM UP! PLAY GEARING=22P, 36S... SPEED GEARING= 25P, 36S.... 34P, 34S... HADN EVEN USE THEM YET. (ALL MOD 1)
Just picked up a VXL 2wd few weeks ago and I love it. My little boy can just sit for hours (or until the battery runs out) and watch it tear around the yard.
Only mods for now are Slash mounts.
2nd day of ownership......
Picked up a roller off ebay for 40 bucks and got her back up and running. I figured with all the spare parts the roller left me, since I only needed a chassis, I could start a build with them. Ordered a black chassis and some goodies which are still in transit.... But here's a teaser. May look familiar and that's just because this combo looks sick....
more to come..

Got some goodies in today.
Here's my latest build, again all stock except for a few RPM, anodized parts, and progressive shock springs. I'm loving these springs as they provide a lot more load for the big jumps. I also went with a thinker shock oil to see what kind of difference it makes on these things.
With Traxxas pulling their Monster Jam line, I decided to build up a blacked out chassis to use with their other bodies. I'm trying to grab what I can before they are all gone, but hope to pick up a Max-D, Monster Mutt and maybe Grinder to swap out on this chassis.
Full throttle into a wall. Trying to jump the end of our loading dock ramp but I was standing at an odd angle from the truck and turned the wrong direction lol. I guess I needed some more seat time with the remote in my hands.
Nice wheelie action from this morning.
