I purchased my rustler 9 and a half years ago. For those of you that were with Traxxas at this time, you know what they came with. A awesome Mechanical Speed Controller/Stinger 20 Turn Motor/Un-Adjustable plastic tie rods. It was a great truck at the time of purchase. Since then Traxxas has progressed a lot. Rather than buy a new VXL rustler I just kept building on my good old 9.5 year old rustler. Up until 6 Months ago it still had the stock chassis, unfortunately I snapped it in half and had to install a spare that was just as old as my original. I know this truck isn't pretty or clean, but its my baby. Its been through **** and back. <br>








Very Few mods left to go, aluminum shock towers and bulk head. So far I have done aluminum arms/tie rods all around/caster blocks/bell crank/axle carriers, front and back/trans case with upgraded trans internals from new rustler, with locked diff/steel drive shafts/big bore suspension and a few little things. I figured I would throw this up on the forums because some older members might appreciate what has been done here. Thanks for looking all!

My Rustler VXL converted to a SCT. Wow this thing is fast. Throws a mean rooster tail too. Still needs adjustment. Can hear the slipper clutch slipping at the end of the video. When i reached down to pick it up just as the video shut off the slipper was smoking and smelt like burnt clutch lol. Check out the build thread.
