Hey guys, this is my first post. I'm just starting to get my rustler up and running again. I haven't ran it in a couple years. I'm currently waiting on a part to fix my rustler. Also ordered some new off road tires, old ones are bald, and I only have some street tires. It's completely stock, and in need of a new body. Try not to laugh...

running rustler arms front and rear & an srt front tower. The body is the 1st gen bandit vxl, sans cockpit area. I think it gives it an open wheel racer look.

Ipaint - what shocks do you have on the VXL?. I want to upgrade mine! mainly for road/speed use.

Here's my Bandit - started out as a stock as a rock XL-5.



Put in a Hobbywing Brushless motor and esc the 9T 4300kv. Runs on TQi with dock transmitter/receiver. Using the 31T pinion with the 76 stock spur and a Venom 2S 5300 70C/140C Lipo.
Also has a few aluminium hop up parts inc wheel hubs/bearings, STRC front shock tower, bumper and bulkhead and shock caps. Have ordered a Grieves edition body for it. Cut the top vent out on the original body, funnels air right onto the fan on the ESC under it.

Spent a fair bit on her now, so she's staying put, never to be sold! . See's mainly road only runs and dry weather.

Still looking for anodised camber links(adjustable in red), better shocks, Castor blocks that fit!, tried some from traxxas but the lower a arm pin was too big and the one provided too small for the A arm holes. Also looking for red anodised wheel nuts, also have a gun metal STRC rear shock tower coming shortly. Lastly, looking at what's left to get to use the sensor functions with the dock.

Wheels are the black chrome with the Anaconda's.

I Decided it to put spoiler on and added Traxxas wheels to wheelie bar with new front rems .

Small update - got a good few bits coming for the bandit, eg vxl camber links, castor blocks and some other bits.

Also bought these new wheels for large grassed oval runs. Love that theyre something a little different over the standard bandit rims. Had to put on 6mm red hex's to fit the wheels.

My week old Rusty VXL Brushless. Upgraded to Integy Blue Aluminum Front & Rear Arms. Also added some Blue lug nuts with plasti-dipped stock wheels.






Must say that I really love this Rustler and this hobby. All thanks go to the G-Rustler, thanks kid.

Last pic of my Bandit - Few new bits going in/on this week to finish it off - Front tie bar, turn buckle camber links and the Hobbywing 3656 4000kv 4 pole brushless motor and 120A water/dust proof esc combo on a 3S 5000 30/60C Lipo.
