Here are some photos of my Rustler that I race at my local track. The Losi and Asscoiated guys think it's a joke until I run them down. It's very competitive even though it's a bit heavier than the "race" stadium trucks. The extra heft atcually helps with the brushless keeping it planted on the ground. What it really comes down to is track time and suspension tuning.

Rear suspension: Proprietary set up
Big bore shocks
Front shocks: 30 weight no preload spacers
Rear shocks: Proprietary set up
Rear axles level, arms slightly below level
RPM Revolver wheels front offset on all four
Proline Holeshots all four, green compound
There are also a couple of proprietary "fixes" to various parts which really makes it competitve.

Here is my speed runner rusty
Its not "fully" finished in this pics, but its roughly done (needs some modding and tweaking here and there). Currently, its being powered by to spc 3s lipos in series, with a Neu-Castle/MMM combo.

I just finished painting up this Pro-Line Crowd Pleazer 2.0. I couldn't get a really clear picture of Franky because of the glare from the lights.

I call the truck FrankenRustler because it started life as a Nitro Rustler but I converted it to a mid motor electric. It's setup strictly for asphalt oval racing. I don't plan to do any bashing at all.

My MMM/neu rustler:




The paddles seem to be good for uprooting my yard. Any remotely agreesive trigger pulls throw this thing up into the air landing on its roof. Its a blast!

The rustler was bone stock as of this morning- I took the mechanical control off and put an SP-520 hitec ESC on it...didn't go well. Could possibly be looking at a $200+ VXL+driveline upgrade...

The Knex truck can accept a wired remote if so desired, but it got too messy so I put it back to manual. But both front axles steer and all 4 orange axles are geared together.

i had to dust it off for the pics. been a while since i used her. upgrades include big bores, wheelie bar(should be mandatory), traxxas aluminum carriers, steering and castor blocks, and the blue ruslter camber/toe link kit.

its one of my favorite traxxas cars. i actually have a buddy still trying to outrun it with a touring car.
