Unhappy Anyones computer ever do this??

Ill just be on regular sites, nothing big.And all the sudden,my computer just shutsoff w/o warning or anything. No restart or shutdown. It just goes off instantly when it happens. What would cause this to happen? Its starting to get irratating.

One of your power plugs may be damaged and grounding on something. When it shuts off does the power light stay on?

First, check the system logs to see if an application or service logged any errors before the crash. If the logs look clean, then substitute a known good power supply. Bad power supplies are notorious for creating "spontanious reboot" or shutdown issues. Also, make sure your CPU cooler is free of dust, and your power supply vents are free from dust. Compressed air is very effective in cleaning dust out of a PC. (do it outside though!)
