Anyone ever use the Dynamite Tazer 12t esc?

I was thinking about getting this http://dynamiterc.com/Products/Defau...ProdID=DYN4927 esc and was wondering if anyone had ever used it before? Was it any good?

    Thanks.

Don't have the money. I am getting some money to spend and I can either get new batts and a charger and a new esc OR Brushless. I have 1500mAh batts right now and my charger over heats if it charges more than 25 minutes so I think I'm going with th Brushed esc, batts, and charger. Maybe I'll go BL for christmas.

Dynamite's ESC's are usually regarded as pretty good ESC's for the money. That one doesn't look too bad... especially for $40! I note it's 6 cell limit and 5V BEC, though, which are a little low, but they should be fine if you're looking at getting the ESC and don't plan on going with seven cells. It's got thermal protection, so that's definitely good and it appears to be pretty small. It would surly be better than the XL-1.

I hesitated between the XL-5 and the Tazer 12T and finally got the XL-5 on eBay for cheap.

You can find the Tazer 12T for $37.59+$0.99 shipping at LiquidRC

This is 12 turns just for motors like the titan, not, say, a team orion pro BB, right?

I would think it's a 12-turn 540 motor limit (like a Formula Pro BB). Dynamite already sells a 15-turn limit (similar to the 12T Titan) Tazer. If it was a 12-turn 550 limit, I'm sure that would be noted in the description.

I'm still thinking of getting this (for another car). If the car had a Final Drive Ratio of 23.39:1 with a team orion 19t motor, will it overheat it?

I mean will it have too much torque and overheat the esc?

I love mine! I bought it based on price and it has never failed! I run 6 cells and a 17 turn motor and it has worked flawlessly!

Yeah. Not sure if that 23:1 ratio will make too much torque and smoke the esc? HMMMMMM

For a non-Traxxas car perhaps? If so, it doesn't matter what we think. Non-Traxxas vehicle support is not permitted.
