Question Pro .15 back plate gasket.

    Hello,

After seeing the pictures of Bashin's engine with the back plate off I decided I wanted to have a look-see at mine. I bought it used and I didn't think to look in there. The piston and such were fine, but I just wanted to look in there. It all looks great! I'm using enough WD-40 for the after run too... probably too much, but I'll take too much over too little!

Anyway, my question. Will the Trx .12 back plate gasket work for my engine? I didn't realize that it was so flimsy and I now need a new one! .

    Thanks for the help!

Ahh... High temp RTV eh? I have some of that! But then I risk getting some in the engine right? Which would be bad... .

Sam, lol... sorry! It did have a little discoloration on the starter shaft head thing... which came off with some elbow grease and some more WD-40... I guess I just got lucky! I figured that I'd have to replace the engine when I got it... But I'm glad I don't have to. As long as I don't mess this engine up, I'm sure it will last me for a while.

Okay... I might just give that a try then.

    Any objections from anyone?

The backplates for the TRX12 and TRX15's are interchangeable, so I'm sure the gaskets are too. High-temp RTV sounds like a good alternative.
