    Angry Only 41 MPH

Hello I have a jato 3.3 and there was a cop on the end of the road giving speeding ticketsand I asked him if he would shoot my Jato (not with a gun of course) so he did and i was only getting 41 mph is this becuase of my 58 tooth spur (stock cb) or what it has about a gallon threw it or is it just becuase it wasnt quite warmed up (I did 4 high speed runs before he shot it)

    Thanks for the help...

Could Be A Combination Of Things Like Gearing And Not Tuned Properly.

it is partialy due to to fact you have a 58 tooth spur instead of a 54

yes if the slipper is too loose then the power is not getting to the ground, but you dont wanna go to tight. you only wanna be about 3 1/2 threads showing thru the nut. i went to tight and my son stripped 1 st gear out . also like nola said youre gearing is set for takeoff and not top end.

this happend to me once, and it turns out there was a big chip in my piston that was slowing me down...apparently, i hadn't blown all the dirt/street grime off of my head, and some of it must have gotten in the glow plug hole and destroyed my piston when i was doing the after run procedure so you might wanna look at that too.

Sounds like tuning too me . Even with that 58t spur you should easily break 50 mph . Lean the HSN 1/8 and see if its faster .....

if your slipper clutch was too loose you will not have a 1/2 shift. try removing the head and check for engine problems and loose head bolts, if everything looks good, try going to the stock gearing cb. 24 tooth., spur gear 54, make sure you have at least 20% nitro fuel and the tune is right. gearing depends on tire size, what tires do you have?

this is not good you must tune it refer to the manuel you should be able to floor it off the line smoothly this will come when you tune it

This is not good tune it and refer to your manuel your Jato came with... you should be able to give it full power off the line and should be smooth and not cut out and go to low RPMs and sound odd... cuz it should have uncontrollable wheelies =)

If it's not wheelying when it hits 2nd gear, than it's not tuned right. If I have the trigger pulled all the way back when it hits 2nd gear it will flip over. I didn't hear anything about that. Maybe it's not tuned as good as it can be.
    I'll miss you Jato :(
