    Your opinion on this p/s?

Here's a p/s from one of my 3.3's.. the problem I'm having with it is that it runs fine for the warm up period.. after awhile, it starts to idle out of control and overheats. I've checked the fit of the piston its nice and tight a bit under the lip of the sleeve.. not lose feeling at all.. the stuff doesn't look too scratched up or anything, but you tell me. I can take other pics if you want, but the dumb lens keeps putting a shadow on the super macro shots.. I don't have my studio lights anymore so sorry about that..

    Lemme know what ya think..

    Thanks so much

PS: Those little lines on the piston (from the wrist pin) and sleeve (from the port) are not cracks. They're cat hair.. sorry ;-P
If it ain't broke, don't fix it but if you can upgrade it, break it.

can you get some top shots, and one with the piston in the sleeve as high as it will go by hand.

usually if it idles out of control that means yur lsn is too lean and that would also account for it overheating so if the piston and sleeve are fine you need to reset the mixtures to factory and re-tune.
if you think it runs bad because the engine is wore out then it will run till it warms up and then it will never run until it cools down again. good luck.

Jato.. is there a good easy way to check for leaks in the carb/crankcase?

I use a can of wd-40. When the motor is running spray the wd-40 around areas that you think may have a leak. The idle will fluctuate when it hits an air leak.

Oh? reminiscent of the propane on 1:1 vac lines. I was hoping for something like that for these nitros.. I didn't want to mess around with soapy water and submerging it..

    I'll try it, thanks!
