    Fuel Leak!!!!

    Hi all!!

I have a problem. My friend has a scooter and it leaks fuel through the air filter. What is the problem? Is the carburetor bad??

    Thanks for help.

My Go-Ped did that a couple times, until I figured out that sometimes the fuel tank is still under pressure after the engine is stopped. Now whenever I'm done riding I loosen the cap to let any pressure out, then I close the choke. BTW it's an old Bigfoot model with a Zenoah G23LH.

What kind of scooter is it? If the carb has a float and it sticks open it can leak fuel out the throttle body.

a carb is a carb, a throttle body is a throttle body, throttle bodys are on injection. other wise carbs are just jets and a float.

how is the carb mounted? in what way?
