He probably was just spinning around with those tires in the grass and decided to have some traction :P

My rule of thumb....I let them know anything more then five bucks is comming out of their pocket.
Knowledge is useless unless one can pass it on.

LOL Yea It is imposable to get good traction out of stock wheels on grass. Only 1 thing I would change on TheFastest1inMI's rule is that anything you break will come out of your pocket and depending on how good of a friend they are I would charge my friends that I don't like $5.00 (Say it is for gas).

"...ya that dog came out of nowhere..."

"well, it just apperaed there officer"

"well officer, i dont think the dog's owners should sue me, it's the dogs' fault.."

"well it shouldn't have mastered magical transportation so soon in it's life.."

it would have been a good excuse..

Look to the positive side, it could have been a lot worse! I'll have to set out some rules like those too. You break it, you buy it.

Its just that people don't have respect. They say... its just a stupid toy that cost few 100 bucks...and as soon as they get their hands on the controller, they pull the trigger all the way...

But of course there are people who i give to take it for a spin...they listen to what i got to say, they pay attention and drive it slowly...because its their first time. But some people just don't get it.

Today i asked my friend to take his Yamaha R6 for a spin in a parking lot...i didn't go past 10 mph and no more then 2500RPM..because it was my first time on a 600cc motorcycle.

That's not too bad and it's an easy fix! My dad ended up taking out the spur on my Nitro Stampede yesterday... I wasn't too happy about that, but what can you do? Off with the old one, on with a new one and I'm back to having fun! The next time he drove it, he was driving much slower. (sigh of relief)

I don't let anyone drive my trucks (besides my dad and brother). The other night we were at a cookout at a friends house and I decided to take the Jato along (since my friends are always giving me crap about this hobby, figured I'd shut them up). Lets just say everyone there was like WOW! After a while I could tell I was getting close to having someone ask if they could run it, so I just said "I'd let everybody drive it but I just got it all put back together and I'm not in a hurry to do it again". I only ran 2 tanks through, I just wanted to show 'em what it was all about and I might have recruited a couple future rc'ers.

I'd be just a tad mad, a friend decided to wrap my t-maxx3.3 into a tree, broke shock, upper/lower A-arm, etc.

yea, dont let your friends drive, he cost me over 100 dollars too:
chassis, top chassis bulkheads, turnbuckles, a-arms lost screws that flew off, shock rods, and there was more but i cant remember, he tried to turn the street corner coing full speed.

Sorry to hear that lil' buddy!

I've let two people drive my BL E-Maxx, the first was one of my main dude's that was learning at the same time I was with my Tamiya Baja King. The other definitely had the money to repair it, but as soon as he jammed on the brakes and made if do a forward flip I immediately snatched the controller (the flip didn't scare me, it was the tree he was heading for).

My brother inlaw did something very similar to my Jato. Except both arms (upper and lower), wheel, tie/camber rods and shock came apart from the truck...

Another inlaw broke the skid plate on my t-maxx.

No one but me has driven my Revo, though. lol

ya, i let my friend drive mine and he did a 3 foot jump from a pile of mulch and landed on the right rear tire. shock busted open. he wanted me to give it to him because he knows how to fix it now so he could drive it some more... i laughed

I don't think it's cheap, more like just taking care of your stuff. I know I never expected someone to let me "learn" using thier rc's before I had mine. I did run my brothers truck a little bit before I got one but I never wrecked it or even rolled it over because I didn't want to even scuff up the body. This has never been the case with anyone I ever let drive mine, they always just want to full throttle it to see how fast it can go and 9 times out of 10 it goes cartwheeling down the street 30-40 yards.
