i think it has something to do with the villian boat, if u notice also up top next to the traxxas logo they have the picture of the EX model....plus what else starts with V ??? id say they remade the boat line with the new body style, new esc, and new 12 turn motors.

its posible, but that would be sad to see a boat update after reading what arceeguy said..heh.. oh well.. cant w8 to see that V-Maxx w/ a V-Twin engine!! (if it wasnt a joke)

i think they remodeled the boats because of the V i doubt they made a twin engine T-maxx.

i doubt well ever see a mt with 2 engines, i think "hot bodies" makes one but its so massive theres not really a point....jsut create a larger engine as opposed to putting 2 smaller ones...my money is on the boats.

if its a v twin engine.. that will be 1 engine with 2 piston/sleeve v shaped.. not 2 engine.. i know traxxas would not come up with a dual engine maxx

the idea of a 2 piston engine is a bit far fetched, id expect that from an engine man. such as OS or novarossi, traxxas jsut released the 3.3 less then a year ago, there main concern right now is getting all the models up to the new model range, only a few havent been updated in the nitro and electric categories, and rumor is those migh tbe discontinued, however NONE of the boats have the new mode scheme.

vtwin doesnt mean 2 motors...its twin cylinders in the same block

most motorcycles are a vtwin motor

the V engine isnt logical, they jsut updated all their models to the 3.3 if they created another engine theyd be forced to put them into the vehicles, and it would cause chaos for the consumer, they spent so much money on advertising the 3.3 version of the t-maxx they wouldnt suddenly switch over to a new engine. everyone has already bought a 3.3 in the past 6 months. theres no market for a new engine, everyone jsut got a new one.

none of the other cars got any real hype when they switched over. say like the n-4tec or the elctric pede and rusty. why would they start hype for the boats. i'm not saying they are not worth it. just for traxxas just to put a spinning v on they home page it has to be something bigger then just a upgrade for the boats. most might remeber when the 3.3 came out. as far as i remeber it was just there. no real hint that it was coming

The Traxxas guys are amazingly tight lipped about new product introductions. I haven't got a clue about what the flash animation means. Could be a stylized "M" and not a "V". Who knows.........

the boats are the smallest segment of the product line, maybe theyre going to update all 4 boats at once and theyre doing this to say "hey our ENTIRE boat line is updated." ?? personally i think they should scrap the blast and villan and take that time effort and money and put it into the nitro vee, the villian EX is one of the fastest electric boats. with a fe upgrades available. the nitro vee is still using the old pro .15 they should upgrade it to the 2.5R (3.3 would be too much weight)

saying they wont release somethign because they just released somethign a year ago isnt true...in the paintball industry some companies release new markers up to 3 times a year...thats every 4 months a new and improved model is released. Most of the main stream companies in that industry release 1-2 times a year always.

when gen are the maxxes on right now. 3rd or 4th. would u consider the 2.5 the between the 2.5 and 3.3 or still part of the 3.3 series
