The most i know about airsoft is to stay away from Crosman, and dont buy anything cheaper than $40. Unless its a deal on something more expensive. But i guess FirePower is decent, i like their M16. But heres some links to some. Spring XM8- Spring Pistol- Electric Rifle- Electric XM8. those 4 are pretty decent, they might get the job done. Just dont cut offf the orange tips or u might find ur self with a real gun pointing at u.

when u shot it the bbs go about 15 feet and then go up so u wont hit anything less than 10 to 12 feet.

My brother has a Tokyo Marui S-System M-4 and it is a good gun. $300, but it comes ready to rock. He has had a few problems with his because he crammed a massive battery onto it, the hop-up can't keep up with the rate of fire and he messed up his pinion. Keep it to 8.4 or 9.6 volts and it'll be fine. Accuracy is good, no less than 50 yards.

Hmmmmm....Tokyo Marui is GREAT(I have a handgun!!) but the price is a bit high!!!I was thinking of bolt action as it is more powerful and less problems!!!!

Anybody know of some good sites to get info on the guns???

some ups of springs is they dont lose power as easy as batteries do,downs= if u get a cheap plastic gun with to strong of a spring it will snap the retainer and wont shoot anymore
and ups of batteries=i cant think of any
downs=the batteries die fast on both of mine, the machine guns get off timed and break easily, so i would just get spring

do not get electric ones they are slow especially auto fire ones, a revo EZ start battery really brought the shots per minute up but they can hardly hurt my brothers

get this one my sister has it (yes my sister has a tmaxx and plays airsoft)
    http://www.airsoftatlanta.com/images...per_sg_jpg.jpg
the scopoe and laser and stuff are junk but the gun is very very good
sping guns are by far the best for targets
you have to spend at least 200$ to get a good AEG
and gas guns (i own one and love it) are expensive becasue of the gas
i have to split my oney between airsoft and RC
i probably play airsoft every week with some friends and my sister
we play teams and no gas guns only spring but it is alot of fun
    dont buy one off ebay
pm me for more info or other gun choices

Ruger 10/22, for the price you are gonna be paying for a good airsoft, why not get a good .22 caliber. The Ruger 10/22 has more upgrades available for it than the tmaxx. In stock form it is a great gun to shoot, will last a lifetime if taken care of, and can be shot competitively at national levels here in the US. Not sure what you rules are on firearms or the availability of ranges, but it may be something worth looking into.
I tried being reasonable, I didn't like it.

same here. after playing paintball i found myself just running up on everyone in airsoft and putting as many rounds into their chest as possible because im not scared of airsoft bb's anymore. as for a good reliable starter gun anything made by utg with the exception of the collapsible stock shotgun (the spring gets stuck in firing position and wont let loose on most of the ones ive used). i own the utg le shotgun, electric mp5, electric ak-47 and spring mp5. theyre all ok but my favorite is the electric mp5 because of its accuracy and rate of fire. my second favorite is the shotgun because its powerful, accurate, and i never have a problem with it misfeeding. the clips only hold 20 rounds each but they make a 180 round clip now that works great. be aware that the shotgun has no "iron sights" so you have to have to aim using the weaver rail on top which isnt too hard. for a pistol i suggest anything made by kwc. they make great reliable guns and ive never had one break. the only thing is that the 30 dollar kwc pistols come with one clip which holds 12 rounds and extra clips are 10 bucks a piece so it can get a bit pricy. hope this helps.

if its anything like the other sniper they make or the shotguns then it should be a great gun. ive pretty much gotten out of airsoft so ive stopped reading reviews for them and trying the ones my friends have to see how good they are.
