I'd say Titanium Hingepins and Turnbuckles, RPM arms, and everything else just replace with stock.

If you are going to upgrade the motor, get a 3.3. If you already have a 3.3, stick with it. Its pretty much the best motor for a Jato. The only other motors I'd put in are a 2.5/2.5R or a O.S. .12 TZ (I'd get the all black O.S. Speed version with the Magnesium cooling head). However, I'd only get the .12 if I needed a ROAR legal race motor. Otherwise, I'd run a 2.5R all the way. I was running a 3.3 motor in my Revo 2.5R the other day, and it was so fast it was nearly uncontrollable. My 2.5 is plenty for my Jato, and I will soon get the 2.5R, which should put out slightly more power, and that will be fine.

I went from a 2.5 to the 2.5r and now a 3.3...the 3.3 is absolutely a blast!! With the stock Jato gearing it would pop wheelies on command and into 2nd gear as well. I changed the gearing as per GivemeA which is Revo 20T clutchbell and 38T spur which really calmed the uncontrollablewheelies down...still can wheelie on command though! I have RPM A arms F/R, front bumper and just upgraded my steering setup w/all aluminum w/ball bearings instead of the stock plastic parts/bushings. I also just bought an aluminum upper reinforcement tray and aluminum front reinforcement plate from Neweramodels.com. I also just bought a K&N air filter as my last crash I ripped apart the Motor Saver Air filter which is also good. Check out Teknorc.com and Neweramodels.com as they have a lot of parts for your Jato...hope this helps

Look back at the bad crash thread, nitrofreak said he hit a curb @ 80mph with a 2.5R and a pipe, why would he need a larger more powerfull motor? That is the biggest lie or overexageration anyone on this forum has ever claimed. Does he think we are all that nieve to believe this, watch out jato75, if he gets a better motor, you or noone else will have a chance at going half the speed of his new wonder motor.

yeah, after reading that, i just sold my new video camera, and radar gun on ebay for 20 bucks and threw all my custom gears away.I must have been doing it all wrong.

exagerating and telling a unbelievable lie are 2 different things, I am not upset, I find it funny that he thinks someone would believe his claim, anything is possible in fantancy land or dreams.

that statement is grossly misinformed. it's not race legal...but...
you say you will beat anyone in a drag with an rb .12 but the 3.3 is too much for the jato. contradict yourself much?

how can the K&N not flow enough air? The filter is much bigger than anything similar for the Jato? I work on "big" cars and know quite a bit about performance and K&N's filter media is some of the highest flowing available. Foam filters do a good job filtering air, but they are more restrictive than K&N's cotton gauze. I'm curious as to why you stated that the K&N isn't good for a 2 stroke?

it lets the really fine stuff get into the engine and the stock one doesent and the k&n filter isent ment for a 2 stroke some guy emailed k&n asking them about it and they dident even no it could be used for that its just not a smart move and if your getting an air filter get a motor saver atleast thats ment for a 2 stroke

Even then, i'm SUPER leary of the MS filters....i saw a buddy of mine wreck his new modded 3.3 at a race in flordia after running one of those....i really like the T-maxx airfilter...i'm suprised traxxas didn't use that one instead.

type mugen ninja into any search engine and you'll find one. but you'll need alot more than just the engine...pipe, header, mounts, air filter, clutch...starter box...etc....and they do go through their share of gears.

dude, none of the high end italian engines work with an EZ start, and yes, you will need a starter box and everything i listed.

and no, you can't use a pull start either...on top of the engine, you could spend another 200.00-300.00 in accessories....EASILY

I already have a MS airfilter....I thought the K&N would be an upgrade to the MS. Looks like I wasted $25....

Does anyone know where to get replacement foams for the MS airfilter?

    Thanks for the heads up!!!!!!!!!!!
