Is it harder to tune the engine with 33 vs 20 percent?

higher nitro % fuel makes the safe range that the hsn can be in smaller, so it makes it harder.

If you have a 2.5 or 3.3 traxxas engine, use Top Fuel, it has more oil content and prolongs engine life. Also it's blended just for Traxxas engines, and in cold weather it better to use 20%. In cold weather don't tune by temps, tune for performance. I say this because most people think temps are the only way to properly tune, if you read read the tuning guide it only tells you it's only a guide. I hope this helps you, no one likes to prematurely wear out or dastroy a good engine. If you open up the body to get more power only do this when it's hot outside.

i didn't think so...not really. I had to pay a little more attention to the low speed needle and make sure the high speed needle wasn't too lean.

It's not like you going from an effortless tune to not being able to get one at all....cough...NOVAROSSI ...cough.....

just do the pinch test and run it a little on the rich side and you'll be fine.

not harder, just less room for era, just don't try torun it too lean, you don't need to because you make more power with a higher nitro%. Also don't try leaning the engine in cold weather to raise the engine temps, colder weather needs a richer mixture, instead tape up the windshield and other parts of the body that ate open, maybe use a small piece of a baby sock. These are only tips for cold weather running, do just the oppisite for hot weather. When you lean the engine, too much, you starve it for oil and fry it. Just my 2 cents, trying to help.
