I can't go Saturday, my girl has been travelling a lot and Saturday is the only day this week she's home. I good for anytime after about 8:30am on Sunday though. Maybe we can find a place up on the north side and split the difference for SRX.

Maybe we can meet at the construction site near you Wrath? I'm open to any ideas though.

I went to one of the construction sites by Northlake Mall just now with the Stampede, and it's pretty awesome. There are some wide open areas that are pretty smooth with loose dirt, some low grass, a few gnarly jumps, and I even got to do some crawling

I think this would be a good spot for the weekend, if the crews are not working. I got there tonight about 7 and there was one guy loading up a tractor and getting ready to leave. He didn't pay any attention to me, probably just wanted to go home after working in 100 degree weather all day. I doubt the crews will work on Sunday, but if they are behind they might.

Anyway we'll make definite plans as we get closer to the weekend, if anyone else has suggestions let's hear em

Well I'm open for whatever time works best with everyone, if we're going to that site it's only about 10 minutes from home. After yesterday it's not quite as shiny as before - I bashed it in pretty good

Ice - congrats on the house! That's a quick closing.

It's suppose to cool off some on Sunday, the forcasted high is only 92*. I'm open for a later in the day or even a just before dark bash. If we meet at Wrath's construction site at like 5pm, that would give us about 3 1/2 hours of good daylight. It should be cooling off some by then too and maybe Ice can join us at some point. I'm up for anytime Sunday though, I drop my girl off at the airport at 7am.

We can break a lot of stuff in 3 1/2 hours.

Congrats on the digs Ice, you're going to be down near me. I was over at his place when he got the call from Tink. I think he's pretty happy his apartment living is about over.

Congrats on the house icepick & tinkerbell. Hopefully yins can make it out this weekend for some bashing if everything lines up.

If you guys all can go on Saturday, go right ahead, I'll catch up next time.

I will be out both days if it doesn't rain - so anyone that's interested just let me know and we will pick a spot. I went back to the site across from Northlake mall last night and it was fun, but REAL dusty. I'm hoping it will rain at least a little before the weekend to keep some of that down.

I think I may go to the other construction site tonight - up off of Beaties Ford RD north of Mt Holly-huntersville. It's not so dusty there and I think I can get someone to meet me there and hold the camera

I drove through Francis Beatty park yesterday, it's over near me. There are a few good places to bash it looks like as well as the construction site next door. I also know about a construction site about 1/2 a mile down the road that would work too.

So what do you guys want to do this weekend? Sunday?

Let's call it then, Francis Beatty at 4pm Sunday after noon. That will give Ice and Tink the best chance of catching up since they'll only be a few miles away. Where do you guys want to meet? There seemed to be a lot of good area back by where the ball fields are closed, near the lake.

SRX, think you could make it? Macr0w, are you in this week?

    Sweet!

Nater, knock the dust off, bring the Rusty and come on out. We had fun last week, I'm sure this week will be the same. Do you know where Francis Beatty is? I think Shocker posted a link earlier in the thread, if not, let us know.

You're not far from where I go a lot, it would be down Hwy 16 to Mt Holly Huntersville road from Dallas. Around Mountain Island lake there is a lot of construction going on.

At Francis Beatty, let's try to meet at the bigger building near the lake & soccer field towards the back. Probably the most area to park and the easiest too.

4:30 or 5:00 PM wont hurt my feelings either. As long as we can get ice & tink in da miX !!!

I wonder if they have 110v out there somewhere........hahaha.

Sounds cool. I bet some of the pavillions have power. How crowded is that sort of stuff late Sunday? Here's a map I threw together. Where is the bike jump you guys talked about?

Sounds like a trip over to Nater's neck of the woods sometime could be fun too.

If I can convince tink to let us take the van and not her car, I would have 110 for ya. I have a 1000watt power inverter in my van.

I have to run yellow or blue crystals, that's what I have rather.

The bike jump is/was in the extreme upper left corner of your map Cajun. Way to go on the map by the way.

Most of the mountain bikers will be on the trails I'd think. I dont know who else might wanna brave the heat.

Yeah, it's gonna cool off a little bit this weekend. Only 95* on Sunday, that does sound cooler though, huh? I asked my wife & little boy to tag along as well.

Cool, I'm thinking by that time of the day most people will have had enough of the heat and be heading home. Maybe we can find a pavillion to set up camp so we'll have some shade. I'll throw my paint booth (folding card table ) in the truck to set up a charging station and I think I will bring a cooler this week. You're an old paintballer, still got your Easy-Up laying around?

Yeah I actually caught myself today saying "This weekend should be good - it's only going to be like 94".

BTW I finally got the Stampede out tonight to a good spot to bash.. that thing is a blast. I got some video but not sure yet how good it came out. I just had to propped up and pointing in the general direction and I may have missed it all. It sure can jump though.. I cringed on a few landings.

If you'd like, I will try and remember to bring my camera tri-pod. It works for video camera's & smaller digital camera's too. At least it does for me.

I like watching your video's. I'll shoot some video for you too so we can get some nasty footage of that VXL Stampede.

Yeah, I want to check out your Stampede too. I want to use some of the parts, when they come out, in my Rustler. That new transmission and diff sound interesting.

Oh, hey, I went by the park today and checked it out a little more. They actually have a start on the softball complex and the parking lot and restrooms are finished, along with a playground that wasn't being used this morning about 10am (there was one van in the lot). But the parking lot and surrounding area look good for bashing and it shouldn't be crowded. We might be able to find some shade in the back of the lot too. It's the first parking area to the right, about half way in from the entrance. What do you guys think about meeting there?

The back area fields were gated off today and there was at least one wedding at the lake. Lots of bikers at the tennis court parking.
