Spacers or not... I keep hearing bad things... (Front wheels)

Ok, I keep hearing that Traxxas spacers just create wobble and the wheels won't be seated correctly and that they will just freely spin and wobble side to side. I think that is purely down right useless.

Rc-parts makes a spacer set which sounds nice....

My overall question is, are the Traxxas spacers worth the buy? They look huge and don't look too good. These however look much better and seem to serve a purpose.

I really want to run some 2.2 wheels and I DO NOT want any rubbing whatsoever.

I also hear that you do not need spacers... If I didn't put spacers, what would happen?

Also, The Pro-line site says that their tires only work on Pro-line wheels but I see people running Pro-line tires on Traxxas Light wheels. Is it hard to mount the Pro-line tires on the Traxxas lights?

I've used Proline tires on Traxxas 2.2 dished wheels many times.
No issues. Many different tires by Proline work fine.

I vote for the RCP JFK you posted. I use them with RCP rims and they're wonderful.

I know this has been covered a few times. I was just making sure (like I usually do lol...) since a lot of people posting/mentioning the Traxxas spacers are practically useless.

BTW: How much was shipping to you jrfink. i'll just like add a bit to your total since i'm the next state over and 2 bearing and 4 screws seem like nothing... (I say he should send it in an envelope for free shipping...)

I think I got my original set when I ordered some RCP rims.
Shipping was whatever the USPS charged. I forget.

I got another set when I was visiting the RCP ranch for racing last summer.
No shipping on that set. The racing was great.

If you don't run spacers the wheels rub when you turn all the way. And yeah i think that the stock spacers are a bit too wide which doesn't let the wheel sit far enogh on the axel.
