My LHS Told Me That The Nitro 4-Tec is "Cheap"

I want a nitro touring and I was asking my LHS guy "what about the nitro 4-Tec?" he said that it was sorta "cheap" and he pointed to a V-One-S and said thats the car for you. I trust this guy cause he was the guy who sold me my first car and he really knows his stuff. I was sorta dissapointed cause I had my heat set on one of these cars. Can you tell me anything to prove him wrong?

The car is fast well built has reasonable add on options lots of fun.
I just posted my pics take a look if you like. What do you want from the car I guess would be the correct question to ask

If you spend a little time surfing you'll see a lot more options for this car. I think it can grow as your skill grows.

Both are good cars. I have an HPI RACER2, a couple of 4TEC Pros, a HPI Super Nitro, and two YOKOMO GT4s. I have explored the KYOSHO V-1-R and the sport version. What turned me off about the KYOSHO cars is the cost and availability of parts. However, I really I do like the V-1-S and the V-1-R cars because they come with a pivot ball suspension that keeps everything tight and compliant under hard cornering loads. The major downside is replacement parts. Almost nothing costs less than $10 for any KYOSHO car (such as spur gears, control arms, steering arms or whatever). Be prepared to have a big parts budget. I know two guys who race V-1-R's and they opted to buy a third car just for parts. Parts availability is all but non-existent at my LHShops. Maybe yours is different.

Performance? Any car, including a Traxxas 4TEC can be made quite fast and best of all, when it breaks (all RC cars break), parts are plentiful and inexpensive. I place in the top in the A main in every race that I run my 4TEC PRO.

I have both the electric and the nitro 4tec the few problems i have had were due to my inexperience w/rc they were all solved w/great ease due to advice from this board. I hear guys alway bad mouthing traxxas but when we get to the lot and they are yanking and tugging while i'm running all i hear is my nitro screaming across the lot. i have all stock and blow the doors off hopped up rs4's mugen buggies etc etc ......and i'm no rc expert!
so i guess what i'm trying to say is TRAXXAS ALL THE WAY!

The Nitro TC3 is appears to be just another nitro touring car with a weight problem left to right. Time will tell once they are available for sale and we get to see them run.
