    XL 5 question

Was there an older version of the XL 5 that did not work with Lipos? I found an XL5 on ebay that said it works but "no lipos"
I presume that even if it did not have a LVC it would still work with lipos because the max voltage is almost the same as a fully charged Nimh.
It was $10 plus shipping so I bought it for my old mechanical speed control replacement. Don

yes, there was a previous version with no LVC, still you can use a lipo just need a voltage alarm so the lipo don't get over discharged.

Xl-1 was black with black or blue heatsinks, The first XL-5 was yellow non waterproof and no LVD. Then there was the first run blue XL-5 which was waterproof, no LVD. Then the latest blue XL-5 which is waterproof and has LVD.
My previous sig conflicted with a forum policy.

This one is blue. i converted my Bandit and it is much nicer than the mechanical. looking forward to getting it. For $10 I could not pass it up! i do have several of the lipo alarms. I Velcro them on to the lipo's when i use them. Don
